AN: You might not have noticed it, but I had originally named Aunt Mel's husband Jordan (it's apparently my go-to name for guys) but since I already have a story (or two dozen) with a Jordan in it I wanted to change it. It's now Ryan :)

"Oh my holy, Ailie," Aurora whispered excitedly as we exited the school office after signing a dismissal form, "Daniel's friends are carpooling with him and they are really cute so don't embarrass me --I can't believe Shy Danny turned out to be so cool." She gossiped before putting up her 'boys-look-at-me' attitude as we walked out the school doors and into the parking lot.

Shaking my head with a small chuckle, I followed my sassy sister to the parked shiny gold SUV, spotting our poor young uncle scolding the hyper teenaged boys sitting in the back.

"Danny, I'm back!" Rora screeched as she pulled on the car door, a huge smile on her flushed face as she purposely caught the attention of all three rowdy boys: the two without blood relations instantly getting swept up in her glowing beauty.

"Hey, blushing dweeb," I teased my cousin, his ginger skin instantly flushing red as he shook his coppery brown hair in annoyance.

"Hey, four-eyes," he retorted with a crooked smirk, ignoring my sisters announcement since she was already flirting her heart out with his teammates, "Been awhile." He leaned back against his arms, looking all big and intimidating with the newly forming biceps.

"Are those muscles?" I gasped, poking his flexed arm, "My god. 14 months and you've all but doubled in size, Danny." I chuckled, opening up the passenger side up front as Ryan waved me over with an enticing smile.

"Hop in, stranger! You have no idea how happy you're making my wife with this visit." Ryan flashed me a pearly white smile, that instantly made my stomach flip. He reminded me so much of my dad before the accident: doing everything he could to make his wife happy, no matter the cost or time.

Daniel scoffed, gaining back my attention, "It's my sacrifice for the ladies. Not all girls are all about brains like you-"

"Ailie!" My head spun back around as I heard the familiar voice that made my heart jump.

"Liam?" I crooked my head to the side in confusion, watching as the handsome boy skillfully slipped between the cars left and right while jumping over curbs and pylons. He had clearly come from the back of the school, which meant he would have had to run all the way around in order to catch me in time.

So maybe, he really wasn't all that clumsy. The koi pond was clearly just a fluke accident --this guy looked like he could do moves only special operatives from the CIA could do. Like dodging bullets and sliding under lasers.

He finally reached me, running his hand through his silver hair as he breathed in roughly "You forgot-" he took another breath trying to appear like he wasn't dying from the lack of oxygen, "-your pencil and-"

Before he could finish I was in a fit of uncontrollable giggles. My hand trying to force them back into my mouth as I laughed at how adorably odd Liam was. He ran all that way just to give me my writing utensil back? What a goof.

His brown eyes softened as they pierced mine. "Are you laughing at me, Ms Dawn?" He took a step closer, capturing a stray pieces of hair that was stuck in my glasses. The slight brush of his hand on my face instantly sent tingles along my skin as he slowly brushed it back around my ear.
