I'm not the best, I never will be,
People say I should be happy with just being me,
I'm not the best, people always overtake,
Every new loss is like a heart pierced by a stake.
I'm not the best, no matter how hard I try,
Every failure is followed by a frown, a cry,
I'm not the best, something holds me back,
Sometimes I wonder if I should 'hit the road Jack'.
I'm not the best, I'm the hare in the tale,
No matter how hard I try, I will always fail.
