Dear Myself,
Why do you keep talking,
When you're just saying the same thing?
Why do you keep on wishing,
That he'll call and the phone will ring?
Face it because he won't,
And I bet inside you know it too,
That he's dreaming of some other girl,
And definitely not about you.
Why do you keep laughing,
When inside you're angry and sad?
Why do you never cry,
Because crying's not all that bad.
Why do you make people feel small,
When inside you've shrunk to nothing?
Why do you paste on a smile,
When inside anger is cooking?
Why do you keep joking,
Because you're not that funny you know,
Why do you keep on staying,
When everyone wants you to go?
Why do you keep on giving up,
When all you want to do is cling on?
When are you going to release,
That the answer is fading, fading, gone.
