Chapter 23: Final Wrap

Final days were bitter sweet. Melissa had grown rather attached her to character. There were two huge scenes to film and they were done. One was Derek and Marina's separation and then their reunion.

"Remember how madly we're in love," Ryan said, appearing around of nowhere.

"Ryan..." Melissa said through her teeth. "Will you stop doing that?!"

"Doing what?"

"Appearing out of nowhere and scaring the living day lights out of a person!"

Ryan chuckled. "Not my fault that you're unobservant." Ryan ducked as a makeup brush was thrown over his head. "You missed!" he said, sticking out his tongue.

"If I wasn't in my costume...I'd rip your arm off," Melissa informed him.

Melissa was currently in one of her Queen dresses. It was long and simple but very elegant.

"Melissa!" Krysti called. "They need you and Ryan on set."

"Yes Krysti," Melissa said, picking up her skirts and walking into the throne room with Ryan behind her.

Melissa took her place on the throne while Katie touched up her foundation.

This scene took place shortly after Marina was coroneted. She needed someone she could trust to travel through the land and help the people and the obvious choice was Derek Faramir. In order to help the Kingdom, Marina has to place her duty before her personal feelings.

"Ready, Action!" Benedict yelled and the cameras began rolling.

"Derek Faramir," Melissa said, standing up. "Are you willing to travel on behalf of me through the entire kingdom?"

Ryan kneeled. "My Queen," he said, looking up. "It would be my honor to serve you."

Melissa nodded. "I shall arrange a company to aid you. We must rebuild this Kingdom...starting with the people."

"Yes, your Highness," the knights and advisors around the room said, bowing.

"Cut!" Benedict said. "Let's move onto the departing scene. I want Marina and Derek in their next costume. I'll meet everyone on site in one hour. Understand?"

"Yes Benedict!" everyone chorused.

"I think Benedict is the real Queen around here," Melissa observed.

Ryan laughed.

Melissa changed into a simple salmon colored suede dress with a dark gray cloak. Her hair took about an hour to do. First of all, Melissa didn't have enough hair so Erin had to give her long extensions. The next part was to get all that hair into hot rollers so it would be curly. As they drove to the site, Melissa's hair was still in rollers.

"I dig the hair," Ryan said, smirking.

Melissa rolled her eyes. "It's obviously not done."

"Oh," Ryan teased. "I thought you were having a crown of those cylinder things."

"Rollers?" Melissa offered.

"Yeah," Ryan said, studying her. "Are those heavy?"

"No," Melissa replied.
