Third Person Point of View

'Pride is not the word I'm looking for there is so much more inside me now' Lin's words spoke to Gracie on a very emotional level right now.

Anthony and Jasmine were alive and well. Lin said they suffered a huge amount of dehydration and starvation but everything is going to be fine. They would be home Friday. Only 5 more days, It would be okay. She would be okay.

Renee, Daveed, and Leslie flew out to me there in Chicago for them. Lin said the doctor couldn't let her leave during the epilepsy monitoring. She couldn't  wait to see them again, it was only a matter of time.

"Gracie, are you excited to go home tomorrow?"Lin asked the girl who was curled up by the window, one hand pressed against the window, the other hand wrapped wrong the IV pole.

'Home? What does that even mean anymore.' Gracie asked herself internally.

"Which one?" She made a snarky comment at him, he sighed.

"I can't imagine what you're going through," Lin slid down on the seat next to the window, "But I think you should be open to everyone right now"

'I'm not a close minded person. Am I?' She asked herself.

"You know what? They didn't call us, when they were admitted to the hospital" I don't know I just started getting physically aggressive towards him, he knew this.

Everything that had happened recently. The whole Anthony and Jasmine "dying", Epilepsy, and Anthony and Jasmine surviving.

Her hands started fidgeting and her brain went haywire.

"I-I," Was all I could say before everything just went out of her control. As Gracie tried to get a grip of herself, sobs began to rack her body, sobs that made her chest hurt and echoed throughout the room.

"Gracie," Lin walked over to the girl who was shaking in an unhealthy manner. "Gracie," He said, shaking her shoulders slightly. She didn't respond, instead her sobs became louder, her skin surprisingly became even more pale. "Shit," He mumbled, realizing Gracie was having a panic attack, thanking God he knew what to do in this circumstance.

He got off the couch and sat down at her feet, respectfully touching her knees, but not doing it in a sexual way.

"Gracie, I need you to look around for me okay?" He said, Gracie, struggling to do anything, mustered enough strength to do as asked. "Okay, now look for five things you can see," Lin told her and she did as told. She looked at the couch, then Lin who was at her feet, concern clear in his eyes, then her hospital bed with a pink bear that Anthony had somehow, someway sent her.

"Good job Gracie," Lin praised. "Now breathe in, and out, in and out," He said, dramatically taking in breaths.

As she did this, Lin somehow slowly calmed her down.

"I love you, Dad"
