Gracie's POV

"You look absolutely beautiful," Dan tells me, "I mean you always do, but you look extra gorgeous."

He rolled his R when he told me I was gorgeous, and my insides did a backflip.

"Why, thank you, you look also mighty fine."

Dan had a sophisticated grey suit on, and that wasn't the reason he was mighty fine.

"That's something you never want to here out of your fifth-teen year old kid's mouth-"

"Sixteen." I corrected, waving my finger at Lin.

He looked at me, laughed and then corrected himself, "Yes, my sixteen year old. "

"Let's get going," Vanessa said, "We don't want to be late for our girl's gala."

"Oh, hold on," Dan said, reaching into his pocket, "I got you just a little pre gala gift."

Reached out of his pocket, to open a small case. It laid out a beautiful silver choker, I looked up at him with astonishment.

"Come on, Gracie." My eyes were still elated, "Let me put it on you."

I turned around and pulled away my long hair, then let him put the choker on me.

"Thank you, Dan." I kissed him on the cheek, while he hugged me. I'm pretty sure you could hear Lin in the background gagging.

"Come on, Love birds." Lin gave us a solid minute and then started pushing us down the staircase and out the door.

Once we exited Lin's town home, he did the most New York thing ever.

"TAX-, "

"Lin, honey, we have a town car."

"Gracie!"
"Gracie, Look this way!"
"Look how grown up she looks!"

The flashes of cameras frightened me, but alas I dealt with it as usual.

After a couple of single shots, I went back to taking pictures with Dan.

"Is that her boyfriend?"
"Wow, that's going to be a front pager on Broadway Weekly!"
"What an iconic couple, Hamilton and Heathers star couple."

After what felt like an hour of taking photos, I had to do the next phase of doing a gala: interviews.

Junior reporters! My favorites, "Hi!"

A girl and guy reporter duo, seemed pretty neat! The girl didn't look older than fifth teen, oh I remember what it was like to be that young! The guy looked maybe a year older than her. Sixteen what a sweet age.

"Hi, Gracie, how are you this fine night?" The boy started writing on his notepad.

I looked on his name slip read 'Evan, Young Broadway' and 'Elizabeth' Young Broadway.

"I am doing very well! It is a very exciting night to be alive in the greatest city in the world."

Elizabeth chuckled which makes me smile a little, "Can we ask you a few questions?"
