Chapter 34

Anthony's POV

Jasmine and I were adjusting back to normal "civilian life". Saying it was hard would be an understatement.

Last night, Jasmine woke up screaming and crying my name. I am a City boy, do you know how hard it was being trapped on an island. I don't have any survival skills.

I love Jasmine, but do you know how hard it was to not be able to protect my her? We would wake up terrified that something or someone would come and hurt us.

"Jazzy?" She perked her head up from the pillow, to which she had buried her face in.

"Hmm," She replied to me, as She rolled onto her back.

"What are you think about?" I asked her, She sat up.

"Anthony, Why won't Gracie come home."

I think Gracie was home.

Well, I mean I think about it. Lin's Home was her Home, that's where she lived. She spent the summer, sick days, and mental breakdowns at her home.

"I'm sorry Jasmine. It's been a long three months for her and us. She is going through a lot" I sighed, "Lin is her only sanity right know"

Jasmine rolled back over to her stomach and buried her head into her pillow. She then screamed, and I felt her pain. Not Jasmine's, Gracie's.

She must have been so scared without us. I scroll through Gracie's Twitter.

"Just spending a lazy day with Lin-Dad"

It was a picture of Gracie and Lin together. Her head on his shoulder, Both of them had a goofy smile on her face.

I single tear fell down my face

Lin's POV

"Gracie?" I yelled through the house to my daughter.

"Yea?" She replied

I was hoping that was a cue for her to come in here but, alas she did not. So I messily walked to her room.

She had her feet propped up on her wall, while her eyes were zoned into her phone.

"Hey Kiddo!"

To which she didn't respond, Her eyes still locked into her phone screen, like lock and key.

I snatched her phone out of her hand and into my pocket, She looked up at my face in disbelief.

"Technology, It's disgusting "

"Says the man who has like 785k on Twitter."

"I can't help it G, they think I'm cool"

She just smiled at me in disbelief, I was so not cool in her eyes.

"Well, we both aren't on tonight. So I was thinking we could get some dinner. With Vanessa and Seb, Good family time."

"The Good Miranda family" She laughed and smiled at me.

Per Anthony's request to see her. She had to come to her senses.
