Gracie's POV

I am such an idiot. I ran off to see Nick talking to Gavin Creel, and I mean I didn't want to interrupt but I needed him.

I swung my arm behind his back, him now noticing me. A smile now appearing on his face, which I faltered to. Maybe I should just forget it, just don't bring it up to him. That way if I acted normal maybe people would forget about how I just spilled my whole entire life story to a reporter at the Tony's.

"You look marvelous tonight, Gracie." He kissed me softly on the cheek, which got a few flashes from camera on the other side of the rope.

I looked up to him with big cute puppy dog eyes, and he knew I was about to break down. He led me to the nearest exit which was the entrance to the theater. There wasn't a big crowd in the lobby. He led me to the nearest girls bathroom, and held me in his arms.

"I just spilled a bunch of personal information on national tv and..." I wiped my tears stepping away from his grip and out of his hold.

I looked back at him, and weirdly he was smiling. He was laughing, and I just sat there wondering why he was laughing while his girlfriend was crying. I couldn't quite figure that out.

"Wh-Why are you laughing? I'm having a mental breakdown, and you are laughing." I wiped my eye, and he pulled me closer to him wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I just was thinking back to when I was at the Tony's my first year. Some reporter asked me about my family and I broke down crying about my mom, and how she was sick again. " Nick said which I faltered to.

"Is this normal for everyone?" I ran my hand through my hair.

He laughed a bit, "Not everyone is meant to be on Broadway." I leaned back into his chest, and held him close.

"I don't want to forget this but I do want to forget that." I said, and he smiled back at me.

"And the Tony goes to...Hamilton, music and lyrics by Lin Manuel Miranda." Lin fist bumped Vanessa, and jumped up to walk up to the stage.

I jumped up in awe, I just couldn't believe he won. He was so talented and wonderful. I believe from the bottom of my heart that he deserves it. I guess hard work really does pay of.

"My wife's the reason anything gets done; She nudges me towards promise by degrees. She is a perfect symphony of one; Our son is her most beautiful reprise. We chase the melodies that seem to find us, Until they're finished songs and start to play.
When senseless acts of tragedy remind us
That nothing here is promised, not one day.
This show is proof that history remembers,
We live through times when heat and fear seem stronger. We rise and fall and light from dying embers Remembrances that hope and love lasts longer. And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love. Cannot be killed or swept aside.I sing Vanessa's symphony; Eliza tells her story. Now fill the world with music, love and pride." I held onto Vanessa's hand, interlaced our fingers together. I tear fell down my face That sonet was so beautiful.

After that it was time to go backstage and change into costume. When Lin, Leslie, Renee, Daveed, and I found our way to the rest of our cast, they were all dressed. I went and grabbed my costume and changed, and pulled my hair back into my high ponytail.

"Are you ready, kiddo?" Thayne took me by surprise, knowing that I was off gaurd. I smiled and hugged him.

"You, Thayne Jasperson are the best dance partner. Thank you for that!" I let go of the brief hug, and shook his hand.

"Thanks, but uh why are you shaking my hand." He looked at me, curiously.

"We are professionals. Professionals shake hands." I continued shaking his hand, laughing.

"Come here, kiddo." He nuggied the top of my head, and pulled me down into an annoying little kid hug.

"Hamilton, you are ready to go." I took a deep breath, and walked on stage and up to the stairs to the second level.

I closed my eyes at Chris Jackson sing, " Let me tell you what I wish I'd known
When I was young and dreamed of glory:
You have no control:"

I opened my eyes and sang, "Who lives, who dies, who tells your story"

"I know that we can win
I know that greatness lies in you
But remember from here on in"

I stayed backstage for the rest of the Tony's waiting for the closing number, and I got to see Nick in his cute little costume.  I took a picture in it, which he whined about it.

"Break a leg, Arpad." I kissed him on the cheek, as he rushed up the stairs.

"I love you" He whispered and soon he was out of sight.

"Why do teenagers kiss." Gregory said, surfing through his phone.

"To prove they're alive." Hope responded, which I rolled my eyes at.

There was a monitor backstage, so we could watch what was happening. That made it easy for us to cheer for Leslie, Lin, Renee, and Daveed.

After the She Loves Me company came down, and I went to talk to him.

"Are you ready for the after party?" He asked, and I told him the truth.

"I mean I'm ready to sleep, but I guess it'll be fun."

He laughed at me, "I'll see you after the closing number. You, my beautiful girl, are going to do great!"

A couple minutes later, we were rushed onto stage. I saw the crowd before my eyes.

"There's nothing rich folks love more
Than going downtown and slumming it with the poor
They pull up in their carriages and gawk at the students in the common
Just to watch 'em talk

Take Philip Schuyler, the man is loaded
Uh oh, but little does he know that
His daughters, Peggy, Angelica, Eliza
Sneak into the city just to watch all the guys at"
