I'm Still Learning

Ch.2

                             Steven Pov

                   "Well what do you want to do today?" I asked trying to change the subject. "I don't know. There wasn't really anything to do without you~"  I was thinking then I got an idea! "Peridot! If there's nothing to do than you can come over to the temple for the day!" I hugged her then pulled away looking at her reaction of the idea.

               "Y-Yeah that sounds great!" She didn't seem too excited, but she will enjoy it I know she will. " Ok, let me just tell lapis where I'll be.I waited outside the barn for Peridot. When she came out we made our way down to the temple. On the way there it was awkwardly quiet. I decided to spark a conversation. "Hey Peri, how much progress have you and Lapis made in getting to become friends?" I asked real curious. "Alot accually! I thought Lapis would never warm up to me but when she started talking to me more and more I felt...... you know.......Safer around her!"

             We both laughed at that last part. I knew that she was afraid of lapis a little but not enough to feel not safe! When she finished laughing she looked away blushing in embarrasment. 'She so cute!' I thought to myself. I then felt myself wanting to hold her hand. 'Should I?' 'It's not doing any harm if you do.Just do it!' I agreed with my conscious and went down to hold her hand.  

                        Peridot's Pov

                I felt Steven slowly grab my hand causing me to talk closer to him. Normally this would be too close for my comfort but for some reason I didn't mind it as we walked the rest of the way in silence, I found my self thinking about what Steven and did to my cheek. I have seen it on Camp pining hearts and on my tablet "Adds" but what does it mean. One things for sure.... I like it!

           I found myself thinking about Steven and blushed when I realized what I was doing.  "Were here Peridot!" Steven called out. "Great lets go inside!" I then ran inside with his hand still in mine. when we got in I saw no one there so I assumed they were on a mission. "So what do you want to do?" Steven asked putting his hand around me. I hummed in thought. " We could watch tv on your bed?"I asked. Steven agreed since there was nothing new around to play with.

           Steven turned on the tv and the what do you call "News Report" was on. We kept it on just to see the news. " A thunderstorm is heading for Beach City, and a big one too. You might not want to go outside during this storm For it will be the heaviest we have experienced." I was quite frightend. I have experienced storms a Few times but the thunder always scares me. " Looks like we have no choice but to be inside anyways." Just as he said that a huge Bang came from outside and all the power went out.

            "Eeeep!!!" I yelled hanging onto Steven. "It's okay. the power just went out.It happens during some Storms lets just make a fire in the fireplace and sit on the couch." He said with a calming voice. "Okay." I agreed. he grabbed the cloth from his slumber cushion and walked downstairs with me.

            I watched as he made a flame in the "fireplace" I could see alot better now but only things directly in front of it. The fire was like something off of Camp Pining hearts, It was romantic.
