Ch.22

       Peridot's Pov 

    We hoped on the furball and I hung on tight. The lion brought us back to the temple and Steven helped me off. " This cat is kind of cute!" I exclaim. "Yeah, but it has a gem so we need to be careful." He reminded me. I nodded in agreement. We went into the temple and saw Amethyst in the fridge. "Hey dudes, where were- WOAH! You got a cat?!" She asked amazed. 

   "Um, Kind of?" Steven shows her the gem on it's leg. The cat meows. "Heh, Cool! Where did you find that little fella?" She rubbed his head making the cat purr. Steven passed the cat to me. "Just somewhere lion took us." He said casually looking in the fridge.

      "But in all seriousness, you may need to show Garnet that cat, with it's gem and weird color of red, we need to make sure it's safe." Amethyst chuckles a bit. I gasp playfully. "Amethyst? Serious? Am I dreaming?!" I laugh. "Sarcastic Detected!" Steven laughs. I set the cat down on the couch. See ya later dudes! I'm going for a walk at the boardwalk." Amethyst walks out leaving me and Steven alone.

     "Well, assuming that It's a real cat, we need to feed it." Steven is still in the fridge looking for something for the cat. "How about this?" He pulls out a chicken leg. "I don't know. I barely know what the creature does! So of course I don't know what it eats! I explain. "Well, this should do it for now. he sets the chicken by the cat and the cat gives him the funnies look " What am I supposed to do with this?"  After he took a bite he loved it. When he finished it he curled up and took a nap. "Do you want me to walk you to the barn now?" Steven asked "Yes." I say. When we get to the barn I kiss him on the lips, "Thanks for a great day." I say "Your welcome." he says. that night I thought about Steven, Before I knew it, I was asleep.
