Ch.20

         Steven's Pov

       I laid on my stomach on my bed next to peridot. "Well, now's your time to be alone because I'm late for the mission!" She ran to the warp pad and warped off. It's not unlikely for Amethyst to be late for missions, if there not that important. I looked over at Peridot who was laying down on her stomach too, twiddling with her fingers. "It's almost 3 by now. What do you want to do?" I asked. "I don't know I feel like we do the same boring things everyday." She answered. "Well, I don't get my allowance until Friday, It's  Wednesday now. Maybe I can take you to the boardwalk to hang out when I get money." I Suggest. "Okay, and until then?" She asked. I thought for a moment. "How about we ask lion?" I said. "What?! That creature doesn't even speak your language!" She protested. "True, but I feel like he understands me." "Fine." She surrendered.

      We climbed down and went outside to look for Lion. "I Haven't seen him for a few days. Last I've seen him, he was eating a fish he caught." I chuckled. "There he is!" Peridot pointed under the house. We saw him sleeping peacefully. Me and Peridot went under the house, and we kinda had to crouch down so we wouldn't hit our heads. "Hey lion, wake up." I whispered. Lion looked at me then closed his eyes again.

     "Come on lion, me and Peridot wanna go somewhere. Any suggestions?" I asked rubbing his mane. "Steven Is that thing trained?" Peridot crossed her arms and lifted an eyebrow. "Not really but I have an Idea." I ran from under the house and inside I went in the freezer and got the plan for my idea. I ran back under the house and opened the idea. "Lion I'll give you a lion licker!" I hold it up to his nose. When he smelled it I lead him out. "Lion, you can have the lion licker after you take me and peridot somewhere." I demanded. He had a face that said 'fine,where do you want to go.' "Lion take us somewhere beautiful, not that place you took me last time with the killer robot."

     I say. Lion then crouches down so we can get on. "Fascinating, this furry pink beast follows orders for a single treat!" Peridot examines him. Lion growls and gets uo walking to Peridot. "Um, Steven what did I do? Call off your Pet please!" Peridot backed away while lion continued to growl. "Lion stop! Please don't hurt my girlfriend!" Lion stopped in his tracks looked over to me then over to Peridot. He plopped down and showed his belly. "Oh, okay, I forgive you for trying to kill me. And maybe I should have called you a furry pink beast."She then rubbed his belly.

    "Okay, now let's get going before lions treat melts." I say helping Peridot onto lion. I get on in front and tell her to hold on. Lion makes a little portal thing and jumpes through it. "I...Need...To...Get....Used...To....This!" I heard Peridot yell. I a few moments we were at this valley that was covered with flowers. "It's beautiful!" We both exclaim.
