Ch.4

                    Peridot's Pov

         I woke up to Amethyst in the kitchen. " Oh hey P. Are you looking for your new boyfriend?" She snickered. " What?!  I do not have a Boyfriend!" I argued knowing who she was talking about. "Relax, I totally support you guys! Like it was never gonna happen, I knew you loved him."  My eyes widened at the word Love.

         I know I've heard it a few times and I guess I somewhat know what it means but I've never experienced it before. Then I hit me like the clod it is. ' Is this what I'm feeling for Steven?!' I must find out. I got up and I noticed that Steven wasn't in his room. "Where is Steven?" I asked quietly but Amethyst still heard. " I was trying to tell you that Connie came over and they didn't want to be too loud so they went to the barn to play." Amethyst said eating whatever she was cooking.

         I felt a little rage. 'Why didn't they ask me if I wanted to come.' " You Jealous Peridot?"I then headed out with something humans call Jealousy. I walked over to the barn. I don't even want to play with them. I guess I am only going to meet Connie for the first time. When I got to the barn I saw a girl with brown hair and a Light green spring dress on and a dark green bow on it.She was sitting beside Steven.

          I immedietly  ran over to them and as I was running Steven saw me and waved while yelling "hey Peridot!"

       Steven Pov

       I saw peridot and waved " Peridot your awake!" "Yeah I'm awake! I just heard that your freind is here and I thought I would get to know her." Peri said looking at Connie. Connie didn't have a sure look on her face but then held a fake smile to reasure us." That sounds great!" She said. 'I wonder why she wasn't excited? Somethings not right.

        Peridot sat on the other side of me and put her arm on my shoulder while turning to Connie.  I looked at them to see who was gonna start the conversation. Peridot then began." So Connie, How long have you known Steven." "Around 2 years" Connie Stated. 'This conversation is going anywhere important.' I decided to take control. " Who wants to play a game?" I asked jumping up. The awkwardness was so bad you could smell it. "Me!" Peridot and Connie said in unison.

      " What game should we play" Connie asked. I looked around. "How about hide and seek?" I asked. " What is hide and seek?" Peridot asked. " It's a game where someone counts up to 30 and the others try to hide.When the person is finished counting then he tries to find you." "Ok lets play! " she announced. " You 2 should hide then I'll find you!" I ordered. I turned around and satrted counting. 'This can be their chance to get to know each other better while lookyng for a hiding spot. I am a genius.' I thought.
