Ch.13

           Steven's Pov

     I grabbed the basket and picnic blanket with confidence and put the blanket in my backpack along with the black box.I also got 2 water bottles. After what Sapphire said I think I may have a chance with Peridot! I headed for the door and to the barn. While I was walking I started getting really nervous. 'What if she doesn't like me and I ruin a perfectly good friendship? Or maybe she's dating someone else?!' I stopped at what I just said. 'Wait, who would she be dating? Her plushie toy?' I chuckled at the thought. I finally got there and it looked like the sun would set in 1-2 hours looking at the sky.

    I walked up to the barn door and opened it. "Steven!" Is all I heard the moment I opened the door. Lapis ran up to me and picked me up swinging me around. "Nice to see you too Lapis." She put me down and I was kind of dizzy. "Hey. Can I have a turn at seeing steven?" Peridot said walking up to us. " Hey Peri!" I hugged her. "Steven we have been over this I don't think I'm much of a huger!" I stopped realizing she wasn't. I turned around  to Lapis. "Lapis I'm gonna..." I pointed to the basket in my hand. It took her a second then she said "Ooohhhhhh. I'm....gonna go.....somewhere." She studdered and flew up to the truck that they for some reason put in the roof. 

    I walked up to Peridot. "I got something to tell you and I thought I could tell it to you over a picnic?" "Is it that important?" she asked. "In a humans eyes, the most important." We then went outside of the barn and walked further out to a nice open space. We passed the Flower I gave her. It was now in the ground. We found the perfect spot I got the blanket out of my Cheeseburger backpack and set it on the ground. I then set the basket down on the blanket and sat down.

       Peridot's Pov

    I sat down, as did he. "You've eaten before right?"he asked digging through the basket. " Um, I only had a cracker." I said. he chucked. 'Did I say something funny?' He pulled out 2 forks, 2 containers,and 2 bottles with H20 in it. "Here you are." He opened the the top up to reveal long white things with white sauce and specks of red, green, and black. I examined it. "What is this?" I asked. "Oh, it's pasta, I think you'll like it." He then twirled his fork in the 'Pasta' and put it in his mouth. 

    I followed his exact steps and I found myself in love with the Pasta! "I love this!" I yelled in delight. "Glad you like it because I made it." I smiled. I swallowed it and blushed. " Well, it is really good." I quietly said. When we Finished our pasta Steven grabbed both of our bowls and forks and put them in the basket. "Steven, I want to know now." I said firmly. He didn't say anything. "I tried to get it out of lapis but that did not work at all. What is it that you ask of me?" "It's not that easy to ask" he says "Am I not easy to talk too?" He then looked up with an embarrassed face. "Of course not! You my closest freind!" He says. "Then tell me already." He takes out something out of the basket

   "Will you be with me like Percy and Pierre?" He askes. I Gasp.
