Ch.21

            Peridot's Pov

      "That Lion Know's how where to travel!" I say in awe. Steven giggles. "Lion you've earned this!" Steven gave the Lion, the Lion licker and he tore it up is a few seconds. While we stood there quite terrified.  While lion took a little nap, we walked of into the valley. "Look at all of the beautiful flowers, and they smell amazing!" Steven held my hand as we walked. We came along a patch that had more grass than flowers, so we decided to sit down.  

      "The most beautiful place, for the most beautiful girl." Steven said. "Steven stop! If anything I'm the last person anyone would think of!" I chuckled. I knew it was true. I was called a freak many times by people. I know I should listen to them but it's okay, their not used to seeing things like me. "Peridot, you the pretties girl in my eyes, don't let anyone tell you that you not. People these days aren't one you would call.... Nice to people that are different." She kissed my cheek. Those words made me feel important to him. I snuggled up to steven, Thank you, pebble." I think that he hates the name because he just rolled his eyes but then shrugged. "Do you want a new name Steven?" I asked. "YES! ANYTHING BUT PEBBLE!" He got really excited. "Okay, Geez!" I thought for a moment. "How about Stevey?" I asked. "NO!" He blushed. "Too late! I love it and I'm keeping it!" I laugh. He glared at me for a second, then smiled. "Well I guess it is a pretty good one, as long as I get to call you kitty!"

     "This nickname is not acceptable! I do not act like a cat!" I argued. "Tell that to your love of climbing thing, interest in the smallest things, and purr like snore." He won this battle. "Fine." I say. 

     Steven's Pov

   "Meow!" I hear someone say. "Now you meow peri? What's next? Your gonna grow whiskers?" I tease. "Steven that wasn't me. I turned to peridot. "Then what was-" There was a louder meow cutting me off. I looked around very carefully, Then I saw a little movement in the long grass. I got up a sure enough, found a kitten. I brought it back. "And speaking off cats..." I showed her the kitten. "Steven? Where did you get a furry companion from? "She looked at it confused. "In the grass somewhere." I replied with a shrug. "Well, why is it red and have a gem on it's leg?!"My eyes widened." Really?! We have to show the gems! NOW! I pulled her hand and rant to lion. "Lion we need to get to the temple QUICK!" He saw the cat gem and got up fast. We both hoped on lion ready to show what we have discovered.

      Author Note: More and More reads by the second and each chapter takes me 5 hrs. You all deserve better. With my new found bedtime and school next week, I'll have to be Quicker. Get ready, Because it's gonna be a bumpy RIIIIIIIIIDDDDEEEEEE!!!! I Luv you bye!
