Ch.6

                Steven's Pov

        After Connie left, I ran out to find Peridot. When I realized she was not in our area then I thought of one other place she could be. With that, I ran to the temple. ' I can't believe Connie would do something like that! I've never seen Peridot cry before it was..... Heart breaking. I've got to make sure that she's okay.' When I got to the temple I busted through the door. I saw Pearl and Lapis talking. " Have you seen Peridot?" I asked them as I ran over to them in the kitchen.

       "No, not at all." Pearl said with a little concern. " I have. She came through the door but she was crying so I decided to leave her alone." Lapis said. "Did you see where she went?" I asked with hope. "To your room." Then she started the conversation with Pearl again. 

     'I wonder if I should go see her? Maybe she wants to be alone.' As I was arguing on whether or not to go up there, Garnet came out of he room. "Steven I want to talk to you."She said calmly. "Okay Garnet, about what?" I asked curiously. She led me to her room for more privacy. "I know what happened at the barn today, and I know you really want to check on Peridot and you can after our conversation.

      "But what I don't know and want to know for sure is if you have feelings for Peridot." I felt kind of awkward having this talk to be honest, but I know I can trust Garnet.

      "No, yes,Maybeeee?" I didn't know what to say. "Well assuming that you do like her then tell her how you feel, I don't mean right now but whenever your ready." "Peal may not like the idea, and Amethyst might tease you but I'm here to support you through it. And who knows maybe there will be some gemlings in the future?" I blushed at what she meant. "Garnet!" I pushed her away gently. "I'm only 14!" I chuckled "Yeah. Anyways you should get back. There's someone who needs your love and comfort." She said opening the door for me. "Okay. Thanks Garnet!" She gave me a thumbs up before her door closed. I looked up at my bedroom and saw triangular hair on the other side of me bed. I slowly climbed up.

       I went around to the other side of my bed and looked around. Pearl and Lapis are gone. Must have went into Pearls room for the water towers. I saw Peridot on the ground with her knees to her chest and her head slightly down and tears ran down her face. "Peridot, are you ok?" I said in a soft voice. When she saw me she scooted away. " I not gonna give up that easily I said to her with a smile. I sat down next to her with an idea. I wrapped my arms around her, got up, ang threw her on my bed. " Steven what was tha- Nyehehehehehehehehehehehehe! Steven what are you- hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe!" I gave her a tickle attack! Tickling anyone will make them laugh so I decided why not? "I'll stop tickling you if you can show me your smile and stop being so depressed!" I said. " Fine just- Nyehehehehehehehehe Stop tickling- hehehehehehehe Me first!" I finally got what I wanted.

       When I got off of her She smiled the beautiful smile I wanted. "Your so cute!" I said expecting Im not cute! out of her, but what she said suprised me. "Not as cute as you." She said blushing. When I heard that I blushed too.   

         

             Peridot's Pov

     Later that day I was on my tablet sitting on the couch in the temple. Lapis said that she was going home for today so I'm here with Steven. 'Now's the perfect time to look up what that thing on my cheek was from Steven.'I know it's called a kiss so I looked up.... What does it mean when someone kisses your cheek? I found out that it's a way to show affection to those you care about. He must have been showing me that he cares about me. These human rituals are so weird.
