Chapter 13: finally home

Oliver woke up to a loud beeping noise.  He quickly got up and looked at the alarm clock on the small bedside table. It was six a.m and there is barely any  light outside.  He suddenly smelt something burning and realized the loud beeping was the fire alarm. He quickly got up and put a pair of jeans over his boxers and swiftly walked out of the room. Than he realized that Felicity was not in the room. He started to panic more now and stared to yell her name walking down the hall when she was not in the bathroom or extra bedroom he ran into the kitchen. When he walked in he saw Felicity in her pjs standing on a chair using a  rag to try and get the smoke away from the smoke detector. He could not help but laugh but when he did he saw Felicity's face turn bright red and her eyes get real wide.
"Felicity, what are you doing?" Oliver asked with a grin on his face.  Stepping off the chair she tried to hide the surprise she had for him but knew she couldn't.
"Oh this? This is nothing. Well it's something. Okay I was trying to make you breakfast in bed, but you could see how that went."
Oliver Gave her a slight smirk and walked over to her and gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead.
"What is the breakfast in bed for?" Oliver  asked wondering why she was going out of her way for him.
"I just wanted to do something for you to say thanks. I mean you helped me so much and the least I can do is make you breakfast in bed."
Oliver gave her a quick kiss and than looked over at the mess on the counter and oven.
"Are you sure it not some kind of Bomb that went off in here." He said playfully
She lightly punched him in the arm and went and grabbed one of the pans on the stove.
"Here try it."
Oliver took the fork and took a small bite.
She was staring at him waiting for a response.
"Felicity Smoak..."
She had an excited look on her face
"You have failed this omelette."
She looked down at the meal that she once felt proud to present with disappointment and looked back up at Oliver.
"Really?" She asked
Oliver just nodded his head. She took the pan and dumped the food into the garbage  can and looked at Oliver.
Oliver came over and gently took the pan from Felicity and put it back on the stove.
He turned on the stove and began to butter the pan.
Felicity walked over and looked at him confused.
"I didn't know you cooked."
"Yeah I used to cook breakfast for Thea all the time when she was little." He answered

After breakfast

Oliver took his and Felicity's plate  over to the sink and began washing them. This gave Felicity the perfect opportunity to check her phone. There was this new restaurant that was opening in a couple days that she really wanted to go to.
"Hey Ollie could you come here for a sec?" She asked.
Oliver placed the now clean plates on the towel next to the sink and walked over to her.
"Look at this." She said. "It opens on Friday and I was thinking we should go out for a nice dinner."
Oliver looked down at Felicity and gave her a short but passionate kiss.
"I would love that."

Sorry if this is short but I just wanted to do a chapter that focuses more on the good in their relationship and not on the problems. Next chapter is going to be the date at the new restaurant and I'm going to try to update by Monday hopefully before because I start school on Tuesday and I want another chapter up before that.
