Dylan's POV
(When was his last pov?! It's been a long time...)
We headed for Sophia's room with the bags of present. I also bought her a purple dress. It was one of those fairy princess dress. It would look cute on her!
We entered the room with a huge toothy smile on our faces. Ki Hong in the front followed by Thomas and I was at the end. Technically, I was only friend of Ki's and I had no direct link, I guess you could say, to Sophia. Unlike Ki Hong and Thomas who were the 'dad' and 'cousin'.
"Heya Soph! Look what we got!" Ki Hong said to her as he walked to a very excited Sophia.
"A monkey?" Sophia asked excitedly.
Thomas and I chuckled. She really wants a monkey. Ki Hong chuckled and shook his head, Sophia's smile dropped and she looked a bit sad.
"Don't be sad, princess. We got you tons of prezzies!" Thomas said nodding towards the bags of presents that we bought earlier.
"PREZZIES!!!" Sophia exclaimed. Her smile was back and it lit the room.
"Now don't be fooled, Sophia. Uncle Dylan is the real hero." I said to her and gave her a wink.
"No. Superman is the real hero. He can fly and he is strong. Uncle Dylan can't do that!" Sophia laughed. So did Thomas and Ki Hong.
I pretended to be hurt and gasped. Sophia laughed even more. Her laughs was so contagious I couldn't help but laugh. I hope one day my child will be like her... cheerful, beautiful, and over all loveable.
"Hello boys! What have you been doing?" Hayoung's voice said from behind. We all turned around and saw Hayoung out of her hospital gown.
"Aye, my wife looks beautiful!" Ki Hong exclaimed and gave her a big hug. He gave her a big kiss and I looked away. Not something I like seeing.
"Eww..." Sophia said and covered her eyes.
Thomas chuckled and looked away too. Ki Hong and Hayoung started laughing.
"I'm surprised Thomas and Dylan turned around. I mean, they've done nastier things!" Ki Hong said laughing. Thomas and I looked at him and gasped.
"How would you know?" Thomas asked.
"You both have girlfriends. So you at least had se-" Before Ki Hong could finish the sentence, Hayoung hit his head and Thomas laughed.
"What was daddy going to say?" Sophia asked innocently.
"He was going to say 'sand', my love" Thomas lied smoothly. Sophia brushed it off and tried reaching for the bag of presents near her. I grabbed the bag and plopped it down in front of it. This is the bag full of presents I personally bought her.
I nodded at her telling her she could open it. She took the dress out and gasped. It was purple and very sparkly. "I love it!" Sophia squealed. She took out a matching wand, a pair of wings, and tiara. She also took out a pair of purple tights. Yep, I thought things through!
"Isn't there another thing in the bag?" I asked knowing I got her one more thing. She looked inside the bag and squealed again. She took out a small purple sparkly purse. It was in the shape of a flower and it had a long strap so Ki Hong and Hayoung can control her in a way.
"Thank you! Mommy look! I got a purple dress!" Sophia said excitedly showing off her new purple dress. Hayoung smiled and pretended to be jealous. Sophia laughed knowing her mom was only playing around.
Thomas grabbed his bag of presents and put it in front of her. She excited opened the bag and took out books, some toys, and stuffed bunny. She looked at the stuffed bunny in...disbelief? She whispered something under her breath and hugged it really tight. She looked at it again as if it was her long lost toy.
"Do you remember that stuffed bunny in grandma's house, Sophia?" Thomas asked softly. He looked at Sophia and smiled. She nodded and hugged the bunny again.
"Bunny..." Sophia sighed and smiled.
I get it. She had a past with a bunny. Alright. Okay.
Ki Hong grabbed the last two bags of present. For the next few minutes, Sophia was busy taking out toys, dresses, books, and other stuff. She even got 3 coloring books and a 96 crayon set and a pack of leds. I think it was the 100 set? I don't know, but it was A LOT.
After a few minutes of laughing and talking, a phone rang. We all looked at Thomas who was reaching for his phone. He looked at the ID and pulled out a very confused face.
"Be right back." Thomas said. He got up and walked out of the room. Wonder who could it be... Maybe it was he got another part in a movie? Lucky dude.
Thomas's Pov
I went outside and answered the call.
"Hello?" I said...well more like asked.
"Hello. I'm agent Brendan from the FBI. Am I talking to Thomas Sangster?" A voice answered.
FBI? What did I do?
"Yes. I'm Thomas. What can I help you with?"
"Mr. Sangster, your sister Ava Sangster has been arrested for her crimes. But, she will not answer any of her questions.A little girl named Sophia Ste- oh I'm sorry, Sophia Lee was a victim and witness. We understand that you are the cousin to Sophia, so may we speak to her?"
"She's in the hospital right now. I don't think it's a good time. Have you tried calling her adoptive parents?"
"No, we will call them soon. It is quite important that we interview her."
"I understand that, agent. But you must call her parents first."
"Of course. Thank you for your time, Mr. Sangster."
With that they hung up. I didn't even get to say goodbye. Oh well. Guess they're not friendly.
I walked back in the room and whatever they were talking about died instantly. They all turned to me with questioning eyes.
"My sister is in jail. And you guys might be getting a call soon." I said pointing to Ki Hong and Hayoung.
And as if they were waiting for me to say that, Ki Hong's phone rang. He picked it up and answered it.
"Yes. Yeah. Of course. Yes, I understand. Okay. You too." Ki Hong said to whoever was on the other side. Probably the FBI.
Ki Hong ended the call and sighed. He looked at us and said with a low voice, "The FBI is coming in an hour. And they're going to interview Sophia."
I looked at Sophia who's playing with 'Bunny'. Soon she's going to get interviewed by the FBI. I've been interviewed by many people. But FBI?
Never in my life.
