14; be ready

A loud thud echoed through your house. You slept in on the couch while watching your favorite show and now lied on the floor.

How graceful.

The whole house was silent, apparently everyone was asleep and you were glad that you didn't wake anyone up. Though it was just past 11.

After you turned off the TV you heard some noise at the front door.

You took the iron, that your mother was just using in the evening for clothes, and crept slowly to the door.

For naught, someone was just trying to shove a note underneath the door.

You put the iron beside and pulled the paper away, which resulted in a high pitched screech on the other side of the door, followed by stumbles and running footsteps.

The edges were torn but still readable.

Next to his name he scrabbled an emoticon that either was a rabbit or a bear.

You yawned and made yourself ready for bed. He could have at least told you when he would come.

So you stood up a little later than usual and were just on time.

"Good morning!~"
His smile was so wide it would make the cashire cat jealous.

"Morning."

You both took off to the Iwaizumi residence and now the three of you headed towards school.

However, something was unsettling.

With Iwa-chan on your right and Oikawa on the left, it felt like they were - well, warding off evil spirits.

At least that's what it felt like to you.

"What's wrong with you? Did something happen?"

Both kept silent, avoiding your eyes. Though that answered your question.

"Guys, shouldn't I know what's coming ahead?"

Now your left side handed you a paper.

Doing the same procedure, you unfolded it and read it again and again.

Your girlfriend is cheating on you. If you want her to be gone I can help.

"Huh what's this?"

"Exactly my words! Someone put this in Iwa-chans shoe locker."

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend."

"Because I don't, at first I thought it was directed at Oikawa."

"As if a girlfriend would cheat on me."
*you whispered* "if you had one that is."

It became silent. Then Iwaizumi spoke once again.

"We then figured that the person thought you were going out with one of us."

"Our lockers are next to each other, he could have mistaken Iwa-chan's for mine too. At least that's a possibility."

You had to take that in for a while, then spoke up.

"So what exactly does that mean now? Since I'm not cheating on either of you, I should be fine right?"

The boys looked at each other in a serious matter.

"I said, RIGHT?"

"If that person offered to make you dissappear, I'm not too sure that he won't just do it himself. Or herself."

"Don't worry, if you keep close to us it will be fine. We'll walk you home."

"YOU CANNOT DO THAT!"

the boys looked at you with wide eyes.

"I don't want you to miss practise because of me."

Now Oikawa grinned happily.

"Then just wait for us until it's over, you can watch us too!"

"Heeehhhh... or I'll just walk home by myself."

The captain groaned.
"Do you hate it this much?! You could also simply support us with filling water bottles, treat small wounds if necessary..."

"Shut up, both of you. I'll walk you home before practise and then just run back to school. I'll be warmed up by then and can play as soon as I arrive."

For a while it was silent until you objected.

"I'm causing trouble for you again. I'm sorry, it's better I wait for you until practise is over after all."

He patted your head, as if to say it's Good girl. And by then you three reached the school gate.
