After you finished up your sweets you said your goodbyes.
"Goodbye, and thank you again!" you hugged the girl that was a lot smaller than you.
"I need to thank you! Farewell my dear... And lots of luck with him." she glanced over to him standing a few steps away. "Good catch there!" she whispered at which you let go blushing slightly but smiling.
The girl watched as the both of you went away. She was glad that you were smiling like before.
'No, not quite like before. Her smile is even more dazzling and heartwarming now.
I'm sorry Queen. I was lying when I said I didn't give you that nickname.
Because after all, a Queen is loved by everyone.
And so are you, loved by every person you meet.
I wish you the best of luck.'---
Time passed and the sun started to set. It looked as if the sky was set on fire.
"How about... the ferris wheel now? We did everything else and right now, it would be really romantic don't you think?" Oikawa suggested and his words made your heart pound.
You stood in line and what was a mere length of 5 minutes of waiting felt like 5 hours instead.
Then the door of the car was opened and you went ahead. He sat down across of you happily.
"Mmh? What is it, why are you pouting?" he asked still with a smile on his face.
You placed yourself next to him leaning onto his side, making him seriously at loss for words.
"H-h-hey wh-what, I w-was kidding when I said that about doing naughty things?!" stuttering his face flushed deep red.
"There's something I need to tell you... Do you still remember what you said about the summer triangle?"
"Eh, eh yeah, that it would be nice if we were like those stars?"
You nodded and placed your hand on his.
'Does that mean... she will finally say it now? ...that she l-l-loves-' his thoughts raced but they got interrupted by your words.
"When summer is over we won't be able to see each other anymore."
"...huh?" this wasn't what he thought you would say and in an instant his expectations crumbled into pieces.
You sat up straight to face him now properly, though not moving your hand that he now gripped tightly.
"I'm only an exchange student. From the start I knew that I'd only be staying for a school year and I came here last summer. So when august is over I-"
"BUT school ends in spring!"
"Not at home..."
"But... here's your home. Your friends are your home too. Miura, Iwa-chan, ... and I'm too?!"
"About that... there's another thing that- I mean, ..."
"NOOOOOOO! I don't want to hear it! If it's anything like what you said earlier I don't want to know!"
"Now don't be like that..."
"Why don't you just stay? Marry me and give up on school! Just stay with me, don't leave me!" tears started to show in the corner of his eyes.
"...Oikawa... I can't stay, this isn't just about me. My parents need to go back and my sister at home needs us too."
"I don't care!" he pulled you onto him.
His embrace was strong. Painfully so. But it only hurt because he cried so much. He was hurting. And that's why.
"I'm so sorry... I should have said so earlier..."
You stroked his back, hoping to ease him. And his crying lessened into small sobs. When the car reached the bottom again you stood up, your hand held tight.
Like this you started going home silently, with his free hand he occasionally wiped his tears.
He refused to let go of your hand even when you reached your house.
And in the end you didn't get to confess.
"We used to have it all"
But maybe that's for the best.
"But now's our curtain call"
There was no use after all.
"So hold for the applause"
When you were back home, after months the contact died.
"Wave out to the crowd"
Everything that was, is nothing more than a memory now.
"Take our final bow"
You're still thinking about him nevertheless.
"It's our time to go"
His hand was really warm when he held yours.
"But at least we stole the show"
You sing along softly, tears close to fall from your face as you hold a silver pendant in your palm.
"But, we'll meet again... right?"
