You both said goodbye to Iwa-chan and his mother, and walked down the road.

He told you who he was able to explain everything to earlier that day, after he came back from the infirmary.

Also he added that Iwa-chan cleared the misunderstanding between them.

He now knew too that Iwaizumi and you weren't going out after all.

You just found a friend in him and "you don't annoy him as much as Oikawa", he quoted.

At which you just giggled.

"Thanks Oikawa, for today. You helped me a lot."

"It's alright, no need to thank me."

"Of course I need to, I've been only causing trouble for you. Not only today!"

"Then.. have you plans this Sunday?"

His gaze wasn't meeting yours. Maybe he was slightly red but it was dark so it could have been your imagination.

"No I don't, I'm free. Let's ask Iwa-chan too!"

"I was thinking.. just the two of us..."

"Fine with me, as long as it's not a date."

Facepalm again. While you had a serious face, he just looked frustrated. Then he began to whine.

"Why not, am I that much of a bad catch?"

"I didn't say that but I simply don't want a relationship right now."

"So that's why you've been rejecting everyone?"

You nodded.

"But still ..." He continued to whine and you understood why his childhood friend is so annoyed of him.

"It's not because you're afraid of my fangirls?"

"If that was it then I wouldn't have a problem going out with someone else right?"

"Then why?"

"Because of reasons."

"Reasons, that's- ... could it be you don't trust me after all?"

"What made you think I am?"

"Well you hugged me tight weeping and sobbing, and you even fell asleep in my arms."
He couldn't hide his mischievous grin while remembering.

"That was- ..."

"No need to be embarrassed. It's okay to be weak at times."
He patted you on the head mockingly, though it made you just a bit happy.

"You know, I saw a movie the other day..."

He didn't knew where you wanted to go with that but he kept listening.

"There was a girl who declared to a boy that he would be her servant. And it was settled with him patting her head, since - that's what she said - it was sort of an intimate act of subservience."

The second the last word was voiced he threw his hand up in the sky, blushing heavily enough for you to notice.

"Hehe, no need to be embarrassed." you quoted with a wide grin.

The setter just stood there looking at you composed, cheeks still with a hue of pink.

She really got me good, he thought.

"What is it?" you asked being a few steps ahead.

While saying "nothing" he jogged up to you.

After a little while you stopped walking and pointed to one building.
"That's my house. Thank you for walking me home."

"You live pretty close to Iwa-chan." he smiled widely though you were unsure why.

"Ah yes I guess, why does that make you happy?"

He pointed to a house that's a few buildings away.

"That's where I live!"

"Oh God no!"

"Good night, my dear neighbour! Don't forget to dream of me!" he winked at you and ran off.

"You better keep running out of sight!" you yelled after him.

When he was too far to hear you, you added softly
"...and out of mind too."

You turned on your heel and walked into your home... Where your mother already waited for you.

"Someone walked you home?"

"Yes a friend from school."

"That's it?"

"Yeeheees."

She still eyed you as if you were hiding something.

"...I'm not planning on going out with someone."

"Yes, yes I know ..."

You went to your room and your dad turned to your mom.

"She doesn't remember?"

"Seems like it, well, we shouldn't bring it up then..."

"Mmh you think?"
