"I can't believe you. You're a jerk, you know,"

Bellamy sighed, "Yeah you've mentioned that a few times already."

"Well it's true."

Thea crouched next to Bellamy beside the river as people searched the water. They were looking for the radio that Bellamy had stupidly decided to throw into the water.

Thea had been searching for what felt like hours and she decided to take a break and bother Bellamy who was simply sitting beside the water as though he didn't have a care in the world.

Suddenly a shout came from the river, announcing that someone had found the radio. Raven ran over to the two, radio in hand and Clarke and Finn following close behind her.

"Can you fix it?" Thea asked as Raven approached them, getting to her feet as she did so.

"Maybe," the girl replied, "But it'll take half a day just to dry out the components to see what's broken."

"Like I said, it's too late," Bellamy chimed in from behind them.

Thea frowned at him as Clarke yelled, "Do you have any idea what you did? Do you even care?"

"You asked me to help. I helped."

They continued to argue until Raven interrupted them.

"Hold up," she paused, waiting for the two to stop bickering, "We don't have to talk to the Ark. we just have to let them know we're down here, right?"

"Yeah but how do we do that with no radio?" Thea asked.

"I have an idea," Raven declared.

~~~~~~~
Thea followed after Clarke as she walked towards the crashed drop ship. Raven was barking orders at everyone, telling them what she needed and to be careful not to get blown up.
"Do you think this will work?" Thea asked Clarke quietly as she walked along beside her.
Clarke stopped suddenly, turning to look at the girl beside her, "It's our only shot. We have to try."
Thea nodded solemnly and watched at Clarke was called over by Raven. They spoke for a minute before Raven continued on her route, checking on the others.
Thea sighed, making sure they had everything covered before turning and heading back to camp.
As she walked through the woods she heard a rustle in the trees behind her. Turning quickly she saw something flash out of view high up in the trees. Squinting, she placed her hand on the knife tucked into her belt and took a step forward.
Holding her breath, she leaned forward slightly, trying to see what was hiding in the treetops and saw-
"What're you doing?"
Jumping violently with her hand over her heart, Thea turned to see Bellamy standing behind her. He raised his eyebrows, silently asking her again what she was doing.
"Bellamy!" she glared at him, "You scared the shit out of me!"
"Well sorry, roadrunner, but I wasn't exactly trying. You were pretty focused on something there."
Thea furrowed her brow, "Roadrunner?" she asked, her voice skeptical.
"It's a bird. Probably not alive anymore but it's really fast and I heard you had a reputation back on the Ark for escaping and outrunning the guards. So I figured it'd be..." he trailed off when he saw her glaring at him, "Nevermind."
"Oh no, please continue. I'm intrigued," she said in the most sarcastic voice possible.
Bellamy rolled his eyes and stalked away, her following closely after him. When he realized she was following, he slowed slightly, allowing her to catch up.
"So what were you looking at back there anyway? Seemed pretty interesting."
"I saw-" she stopped, looking Bellamy in the eye as she said, "I thought I saw a person in the trees."
"A person?" Bellamy asked, "One of our people?"
"No, I don't think so."
"A grounder than?"
"It must've been."
Bellamy was silent as he thought about what she said.
"They're watching us,"
Thea thought for a moment before running to catch up with him.
"What if we can talk to them? Make them see we're not a threat. That way we can avoid any more attacks and we can get their help with surviving down here. "
"That's not possible," Bellamy quipped, "They're savages. They've survived down here by themselves for too long. They'll be hostile to any outsiders."
He sounded so sure of himself that Thea began to wonder if maybe he was right. But she doubted that they were completely hostile. They couldn't just assume that without giving them a chance, right?
She didn't say that to Bellamy though, afraid he would get angry. He was so set in his beliefs, it seemed futile to try and convince him other wise.
"Alright. You're still a jerk though."
Bellamy laughed, "And you're still a bitch."
"So were even, then?" she smirked.
Bellamy laughed, "I guess."
~~~~~~~
Hey. I'm so so sorry it's been literally forever! I've been super busy with school and I've been sick and my mom was in the hospital. She's better now and I'm still busy but hopefully I'll have more time to write. Again, so sorry it's been so long! I hope you guys can forgive me!

Thanks for staying with me. I know this chapter kinda sucks and it took so long to get published but I promise it'll get better. Also did anyone get my bitch/jerk reference there? Supernatural anyone? :)
