~Chapter 9~

-SKYLAR'S P.O.V-

The past few days have been easy getting used to the beautiful house. There has been no disturbance for Hunter or I, just a few days alone together, but I could tell we both missed our regular lives and Natalie. I lay in our new bed, Hunters arms wrapped around me as I stare at the beautiful chandelier that hung in the middle of the room. The rain outside hitting the windows in a rhythmic pattern. Today would be a good lazy day, even though thats all the past few days have been nothing but laying around all day just enjoying each other. I sit up and slip out of Hunters arms and walk straight to the shower, stripping off Hunters T-shirt and I step in, letting the hot water run down my skin. After showering I put on Hunters grey sweatshirt and my black PJ shorts. I pull my hair into a wet messy bun and I wear my glasses, to lazy to put in my contacts. I walk back into the room and I walk past the bed and out into the hall, staring at the pictures on the wall. The pictures of Natalie, of Hunter and I, of Natalie and I asleep surrounded by her toys, Hunter and I when we were younger, of Hunter performing, and the picture Hunter took in the back of the bus after our soap war, our most ridiculous 'selfie' yet. We had our cheeks puffed out and our eyes were crossed, we acted like we were 5, but it was one of my favorite pictures, it showed the real us, the true us. We werent the 'puppy-love' relationship that most people wanted, we were the crazy best friends who ended up falling in love. Hunter and I were two different people, but there was also 'us', one person together, and that was the way I believed it should be. I walk down the stairs and my feet reach the cool wooden flooring and I walk into the huge kitchen pulling the curtains open, exposing the rain falling on the bright green grass outside. I smile as I turn on my favorite Carrie Underwood CD, and I begin to dance around the kitchen making pancakes for Hunter and I.

I woke up to the sound of footsteps going down the stairs and I knew Skylar was awake, that and the smell of strawberries and vanilla that came from the bathroom. I smile as I sit up and walk to the bathroom and I step into the shower cleaning off. After showering I put on my grey sweat pants, that for once Skylar didn't steal, and my blue v-neck. I spike my hair up lazily before walking down the stairs and I hear music and smell pancakes. I walk into the kitchen and Before He Cheats is blasting and I see Skylar dancing as she cooks. "You should stick to designing clothes because you can't dance." I say and she whirls around laughing. "Hayes, I know you dance worse so shut it!" She says making me smile. The way she'd call me Hayes, and make fun of me, somehow made me fall for her even more. "I know." I say hanging my head and she ducks underneath me and brings my head up by kissing me. "I love my bad dancer though." She says and I smile. "I love mine as well." I say and she smiles up at me before bouncing away, her eyes glittering as she danced around the kitchen singing and cooking. When she finished the pancakes she took two plates and handed one to me before running into the living room. She turns on the Wii and sits on the couch. "Mario Kart?" She asks giggling and I smile. "Do you have to ask?" I say and she smiles and hands me a remote and she continues to beat me each race, and we eat while we play. "I can't win!" I say putting my empty plate on the coffee table next to hers and she smiles before placing her head in my lap. The way I could smell her still damp hair, and the way her eyes shined as she giggled when she won, everything about her was absolutely perfect.

-SKYLAR'S P.O.V-

After cooking breakfast we played Mario Kart as we ate, and as usually I always won. I lay my head in his lap and his scent radiates off of him. I take it in as we play, the way he'd laugh at me or throw his hands in the air when he lost. The way he'd look down into my eyes or the way hed lean down and kiss me. It was perfect. He was perfect. I couldn't believe this man, this dork, was my best friend, the father of our child, and most importantly my husband. I was honestly the luckiest girl alive to have him. He was my forever. Now I knew that forever really did mean forever, I see it as everybody has there own forever, except Hunter and I shared one.
