~Chapter 17~
-SKYLARS P.O.V-
I wake up to the sound of Christmas music playing and I find that I'm alone surrounded by the pillows and blankets we laid on to watch the movie the previous night. I get up and walk upstairs to the kitchen but find it empty. Soon I feel arms around my waist and I smile. "Merry Christmas beautiful." Hunter says and I turn and wrap my arms around Hunters neck and he smiles. "Merry Christmas Hayes." I say and he laughs. "I'll never get tired of hearing you calling me Hayes." He says and I smile and nod. Hunter brings my head to his chest as we slowly dance together in the big kitchen to the soft Christmas music playing. "So Skylar Hayes, what do you think you got for Christmas?" Hunter asks and I gasp and slap his chest. "After this house hopefully nothing, for the next 30 years." I say giggling and he shakes his head. "Then I guess for the next 30 years you'll be disappointed when you see something with your name on it" He says and I hit him again. "You're a piece of work Hayes." I say and he laughs and picks me up and sets me on the counter. "I try." He says before putting one hand on my neck and the other on my back and he kisses me while I put both my hands on either side of his face. Soon he backs up and I smile. "Tell me that was my gift?" I say hopeful. "Oh that doesn't compare to your gift at all." He says and I groan and Hunter laughs and leads me to the living room and we help Natalie open the small gifts we got her and she gets excited over her little toys, her blue eyes sparkling. Her favorite was a little keyboard, and I think she stopped caring about all the other toys when she saw it. "She has your love for music." I whisper leaning my head on Hunters shoulder and he smiles and nods. "Our little princess." He says and I smile and he kisses me lightly as we sit in front of the lit tree and Natalie messes with her keyboard. Outside the snow falls slowly and Hunter still has the soft Christmas music playing and I smile at the feeling of happiness running through my body. We finish letting Natalie open her gifts and Hunter lays her down and I go to the kitchen and sip my coffee I made. "You should go get ready." Hunter says as he walks into the kitchen and I turn and look at him. "I thought we were gonna stay home all day?" I say and he smiles. "We have one quick stop." He says and I nod knowing where ever he was taking me couldn't be good. I laugh walking upstairs and to the closet. I change into a white tank top with a black sweater over top and dark skinny jeans with black boots and a red scarf. I put my hair up in a low messy side bun and I put on a red knit hat. I walk into Natalie's room and I find her awake, wondering my why Hunter even laid her down, the amount of energy she had today was overwhelming, and I knew shed crash out later as the day progressed. She looks at me giggling and standing at the edge of her crib. I change her into black leggings with red bows on them and a red tutu and a black shirt with a little red knit hat that matched the tutu. I slip on her little black converse and I pull her hair up into a little pony tail. "Ready?" Hunter yells from down the stairs and I walk out of Natalie's room holding her. "Ready!" I say laughing and Hunter smiles. "My girls." He says as we walk into the garage and I strap Natalie in her car seat and I get in the passenger seat. "Where are we even going?" I ask smiling. "Somewhere, you'll see." He says smiling as we drive into Nashville and into a small shopping boulevard. "Its Christmas all of these places are closed." I say laughing and Hunter smiles and parks in front of an empty store. "All of them except one." He says getting out of the car and he gets Natalie and walks to the door of a small shop and I get out and he takes out a key and unlocks the door and we step inside the empty room. "What is it?" I say confused and Hunter looks at me. "Its H&S." He says smiling and my mouth drops. "My own store, to run with Hayley." I say and he nods. "You told me you always wanted to have a business and run a small boutique, well now you can." He says setting Natalie down and I jump into his arms and I put my hands on either side of his face and I kiss him lovingly. "This is amazing Hayes." I say and he smiles. "I knew you'd like it." He says setting me down and I nod and walk around the small store taking in everything. This was one reason why I loved him so much, he never failed to surprise me. "Like it? I love it!" I say giggling. The walls were white with black shelves and racks. There was a big chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the middle and small lights in the ceiling adding to the lighting, and the floors where a soft tan wood. "Does Hayley know about this?" I ask smiling and Hunter nods yes. "You guys!" I say still smiling and he wraps his arms around me. "Do you like it?" He says and I slap his chest. "I absolutely love it!" I squeal and he laughs. I stare out the large window in the front of the room and the snow falls lightly outside. "This is the best Christmas ever." I say and he nods and leans his forehead on mine. "Only because its with you." He says kissing me lightly and I accept giggling. "I cant wait to design, and stock!" I say and Hunter laughs. "You have all the time in the world, its yours now, your own store." Hunter says and I kiss him again. "Now its your turn." I say and he backs up and looks at me curiously. "What, did you think I didn't get you anything?" I say laughing and he shakes his head. "You didn't nee-" He says but I cut him off mid-sentence. "I did need to, you just bought me a freaking house and a store!" I say and he laughs. "Thats crazy!" I say and he wraps his arms around me. "Well I kinda asked for crazy." He says and I shake my head. "You're the crazy one." I say kissing him and he laughs. "Maybe I am." He says and I kiss him again. "Its okay I want crazy as well." I say and he smiles. "It sounds better when I say it." He says and I laugh and slap his chest. "I love you too!" I say and he laughs and I pick up Natalie. "Cmon!" I say and he looks at me. "To where?" He says and I laugh. "Like I said its not like I forgot about getting you something!" I say and he smiles as we walk to the car and I get Natalie strapped in as he locks the doors. I get in the drivers seat and Hunter gets in the passenger side and I begin to drive and the whole way we sing Christmas songs together that played on the radio. We soon arrive at the studio and I park and get Natalie out of the car. "I've been keeping your gift here." I say laughing and Hunter stops. "Gift?" He says still being stubborn and I shake my head. "Hayes you bought me a house, let me please return the favor." I say laughing and we walk inside and I run to one of the small closets and I get out a guitar case. "You didn't!" Hunter says as I set down the case and he opens it. "Skylar Ive wanted this Martin acoustic since I was a little kid!" He says taking it out carefully and I smile. "It wasn't easy to find, and it doesn't amount to a house or store." I say and he shakes. "This is better, I've only been trying to find one for years, Skylar I love you." He says hugging me tightly and I giggle and wrap my arms around him as he hugs me tightly. Hunter backs up and he begins to play, his eyes sparkling and there was a smile stretched across his face. "Its perfect." Hunter says and I smile. "Reminds me of you." I say and he puts the guitar down and kisses me passionately this time not backing away. The day had been perfect, waking up scattered in pillows and blankets, then watching Natalie, and with the new store the possibilities were endless for Hayley and I. Someone once told me that if I set my mind to something, I could do it, and I knew that standing next to Hunter, I could do anything.
