~Chapter 28~
-SKYLARS P.O.V-
The week had been perfect with visiting old friends, Hunters family, and reliving some old memories. Today was our last day in Breaux Bridge and we were gonna spend it taking Natalie to the park so she could run off some steam before we went out for dinner with Hunters parents to end our week here. "I really love this place." I say taking a deep breath and leaning my head on Hunters shoulder as we walk down the sidewalk and Natalie walks in front of us. "I do too." "Let's drop anything and move here." "You wanna get rid of the house?" "Nevermind," I say laughing and Hunter looks down at me and takes my hand and we walk. I look around at the trees and the wind is blowing them gently with a cool summer breeze as the summer would soon turn to fall. I see Natalie with her little lime green tutu and white leggings with her white shirt that had a lime green flower on it and her little black converse. "She loves her converse." "Shes a smart girl." Hunter says and I laugh. "Mommy!" Natalie says turning around and she runs up and shows me a little purple flower she picked and I smile. "Its beautiful!" I say gasping playing along for her and she hands me the flower giggling before running up ahead of us again.

I watch as our beautiful blonde baby girl walks ahead of us, stopping each time she saw a flower to pick it. I loved the way she resembled Sky, they were both beautiful. I would do anything for either of them, they were my entire life. "Daddy!" Natalie says turning around and she runs up and hands me a purple flower similar to the one she had just handed Sky. "Purple." She says pointing to the flower and I nod. "Do you like flowers?" I ask her and she nods, her blonde hair bouncing and runs to find more that were growing along side the sidewalk. "Shes beautiful like her mom." I say and Skylar smiles. "Shes smart like her dad." She says and I laugh. "Are you sure she didnt get that from you?" I ask and she nods. "I'm sure." She says and I smile looking down at her, her blue eyes sparkling. I loved everything about her. The way her blonde hair fell, her eyes and the way they sparkled, her light pale skin and her pale pink lips. The way she would laugh and make fun of me. The way she would get excited when my songs came on and sing them at the top of her lungs even if she thought she sounded bad, even though she never was. The way she would play with Natalie around the house and be fairy's with her and the way she would laugh at the messes we make, or I make. The way she was so supportive and happy for me, and I for her. She was my everything. "What are you looking at?" She says looking up at me and I smile. "Everything," I whisper and she stops and stares into my eyes and smiles before I kiss her lightly and we begin walking again.

I caught Hunter staring at me and I look at him smiling. "What are you staring at?" "Everything." Hunter said and my heart flutters as he leans down and kisses me and still after all this time he made me feel this way. The way he would make me feel special. The way he would laugh at me and make fun of me. The way his blue eyes sparked when he was inspired. The way he would look at me. The messes him and Natalie would make. He is my everything. We begin to walk again and soon we are at the park, it was the same since we were kids. It looked older now but the memories were still the same. Natalie begins to play on the big jungle gym and Hunter climbs up behind her. "Natty, can you help Daddy, I can't get up." Hunter says as she reaches the top of the stairs and Natalie turns around and holds out her arm laughing. Hunter takes her hand and she pulls and he walks up the stairs. "Thank you, you're so strong!" Hunter says and Natalie laughs. "Slide." Natalies says pointing to the slides and Hunter sits down and Natalie sits on the other side as these were racing slides, or thats what Hunter and I had called them when we were younger. They go down and Natalie giggles and Hunter picks her up. "Did you win?" Hunter asks as Natalie nods her head laughing. "You are dorks." I say smiling. "Thanks." Hunter says kissing me and Natalie runs up the stairs again and I smile watching her to make sure she didnt fall. Hunter takes my hand and we sit on the racing slides and I lean my head on his shoulder. "You know in 8th grade we shared out first kiss right here, on the 'racing' slides." "I had been crying because my 'friends' made fun of me because I never kissed anyone. I always came and sat here to think." "You didnt answer at your house and I knew you'd be here so I came over right away." "You hugged me as I cried." "Then I told you I had never kissed anyone either." "And before I knew it your lips were on mine." I say quietly and Hunter leans down and kisses me. "A lots changed since then." "I wouldnt change a thing." I whisper looking into his blue eyes. "Me either." He whispers back and I smile and am soon broken from Hunters stare as Natalie slides down the slide and runs into my back and I laugh, Hunters eyes never leaving me. "What are you thinking about?" I say picking Natalie up and I set her on the ground and she runs to the stairs again. "You." He says and I smile. "What about me?" "Everything, from the time I laid eyes on you till now. When you walked into that classroom, your blonde hair up in a ponytail and your red shirt with your jean skirt and your black converse." "I had no style." "Nobody did." Hunter says laughing. "Then when I accidentally bumped into you and all my lunch spilled on you and you made me hug you so we both had to go the rest of the day covered in food. The time when you stayed up all night to help me write a new song and I remember you fell asleep on my shoulder. The way you'd come watch me every Friday night and how you'd travel with me on the weekends. The way you told me I had to go to Nashville, you said I was going to make it big and I never believed you. When you came into my room soaking wet from the rain and we laid in bed all day. When I saw you for the first time in years and I saw how much you changed. You carried yourself differently and when I saw you my heart stopped. I should've never let you go again. Then when we were sitting on the couch when I came back, I couldn't help but ask you to be mine. The amusement park and how we both got on the rollercoaster, considering we hate heights. When I found out you were pregnant the happiness I felt. When I proposed as the fireworks went off and the crowd cheered but you were the only one I saw. When you were in the hospital the pain I felt for you. Holding our baby girl for the first time the way my heart felt. When I saw you walk down that aisle in all white. Since the day I met you I've been in love with you and I will until the end of forever, Skylar, you are everything to me and without you, there wouldn't be a me. When I'm not with you I feel like a part of me is missing. You complete me. I'm so incredibly lucky to have met you that warm August day back in sixth grade. I love you, everything about you." He says our eyes never leaving connection. "Hunter-" I start as tears form in my eyes.
