~Chapter 15~
-SKYLARS P.O.V-
My phone buzzes and I have a notification from Sam and its a picture of Sam kissing Hayley's stomach. 'Coming Soon, May' the words say and I laugh and I run down the stairs to Hunter who's in the kitchen making Natalie breakfast. "Look!" I say and Hunter laughs. "That's amazing!" He says smiling as I jump up and down. "I know." I say laughing and I text Hayley 'Told you he'd be happy. X.O, Happy Thanksgiving Girl!' It says and my phone buzzes almost immediately. 'I should've listened to you, Happy Thanksgiving to you too! <3' it reads and I smile before setting my phone down and I get out my apron. "Time to cook!" I say and Hunter laughs and feeds Natalie her breakfast. "That means time for me to leave the kitchen." "Or you can help." "Or not." Hunter says and I laugh and begin to work. "Then keep me company?" I say and he washes his hands and dries them before wrapping his arms around my waist and I giggle. "I said to keep me company, not keep me distracted." I say and he backs up and leans on the counter. "I cannot make you happy, can I?" Hunter says and I turn around and kiss him lightly. "I never said that I didn't like being distracted, I just dont have time for it right now. I have to cook." I say laughing and he nods and sits down next to Natalie and he wipes her hands as I continue to cook.
-HUNTERS P.O.V-
I watch her as she dances around the kitchen cooking. My wife, best friend, my everything, my crazy. She made my heart beat a million miles a minute just by the way she moved, her long blonde hair moving with her. The way her blue eyes would sparkle and her laugh. I wish I could write a list of the reasons I loved her, but she left me speechless. "Hunter, take a picture it lasts longer!" Skylar says and I laugh. "If you say so!" I say as I take out my phone and she sticks her tongue out at me and squints her eyes and I laugh as the flash goes off and I post it on twitter. 'Happy Thanksgiving!' It reads and Skylar's phone buzzes. "Must you and the guys post every gross picture of me." She says and I smile. "We never post 'gross' pictures of you, we post beautiful pictures of you." I say and she sticks her tongue out. "You're an ass." She says and I laugh. "I knew that already." I say and she walks over and kisses me and I smile at her. "I love you Skylar." I say as she walks away. "I hate you too Hayes." She says and I laugh as the doorbell rings and I walk to get the door. "Hey mama Hayes!" Skylar yells as she washes her hands and walks over to the door and my mom and dad walk inside and Skylar and my mom hug. The way Skylar loved my parents as her own was amazing but I shouldn't expect anything different, she was almost at my house more than I was as we grew up. My parents were like her second parents. "Hey baby!" My mom says as she backs up and Skylar hugs my dad. "Hey Dad!" She says and he hugs her. "Hey Sky." He says and Natalie runs into the room and Lynette picks her up. "Gamma!" She squeals and Lynette laughs and hugs Natalie. Natalie sees Leo and she screams and reaches for him and Lynette hands her to Leo and Skylar and I watch them and I smile as I wrap my arm around Skylar and she smiles up at me.
-SKYLAR'S P.O.V-
Hunter and I watch as Leo and Lynette hug Natalie and she absolutely loves it. "If y'all want food I better get back to cooking." I say laughing and Lynette walks into the kitchen. "Want some help?" She asks and I smile. "Sure! Since someone refuses." I say yelling out to Hunter and he walks into the kitchen holding Natalie. "Says the girl who always tells me she's surprised this house hasn't been burned down yet!" Hunter says and I laugh. "Fine, you win." I say and he laughs. "Thank you very much." He says and I kiss him before he sets Natalie down and him and Leo sit on the chairs and we all talk. "Hows the business coming Sky?" Lynette asks and I smile. "Hayley and I did a photoshoot about two weeks back, other than that its been normal." I say smiling. "I heard Hayley's pregnant." Lynette says excitedly and I nod. "Yes she is! A little Ellis, we should be scared!" I say laughing with everybody. After awhile the doorbell rings and Hunter gets it carrying Natalie and my mom walks in. "Gamma!" Natalie screams and my mom takes Natalie and hugs her. "Hey everybody!" My mom says and I smile. "Hey mom!" I say and she walks over and hugs me. "Now we have everyone!" Hunter says and I smile. "The foods almost done!" I say as Hunter sets the dining room table and he moves Natalie's high chair to the table. Lynette and I carry the food to the table and Hunter makes Natalie a small plate and we all sit down and begin to dish up. All of us have our own conversations, Hunter talking to his dad about music, and Lynette, my mom, and I talking about my business. Few times we would all engage in a big conversation, but even talking in our small groups, we were all still together as one, as a family, that's all I ever wanted. My heart felt warm as we all sat around the table enjoying ourselves. I look over at Hunter and he smiles. 'I love you.' I mouth to him and he mouths it back and I giggle before returning to the conversation being held. Each and every person smiling and laughing, they were my family, and I loved them all more than anything.
