"How many times do you get raided by these people?" Sansa asked Helena as she was helping the elder collect vegtables from her small garden. "And why do they keep raiding you all over and over? Hasn't Magnus tried making peace with their leader?"

"He did but when the chief had died his son ripped the treaty in front of Magnus, pissed on it and continued the raids." Helena answered as she pulled a carrot out and dropped it into the basket Sansa was holding. "That boy needs a good beating. In fact he needs a woman to whip him into shape, his mother or sister or maybe even a wife with bones of iron."

"You really think a man need a woman in his life to make him different?" Sansa asked taking another carrot from Helena.

"Not in a romantic way but sometimes a woman's touch can really help a man. Hiccup for instance, you changed him in a way."

"How did I-" there was the sound of a loud horn being blown. Sansa gasped and dropped the basket and ran towards the cliffs to where Hiccup stood.

"What is it?" She asked him.

"Raiders." He muttered and walked back to the village. Sansa raced after him trying to keep up with his long strides. For a boy with a name that meant runt, he was quite tall -taller than his own father- and stronger than most boys his age.

"What are we doing?" Sansa asked following him into his tent.

"You will go with the women, children and elderly." Hiccup answered as he began to don his armor.

"Hiccup you need all the help you can get, I can fight!" Sansa protested and grabbed his sword. "I can fight and I can help, I'm not weak!"

"I know which is why you have to be safe." Hiccup said taking his sword from her and then did he strangest thing. He bent down and placed a small kiss on her cheek. "Just do what I ask Sansa, I promise I will return."

"And he just left you in the tent with no explanation?" Ava asked as she braided Sansa's hair.

"Well I was too stunned to go after him and Helena came into the tent to come to the caves." Sansa said with a groan. "And why do we have to stay down here when we can go with the men? Aren't women trained to fight too?"

"We are dear but most of us can't because we have children to take care of, are too old to wield a sword or spear and even some of the husbands or fathers won't let them fight." Helena explained. "And we've always been sent down to the caves to hide. Very few women have stayed with the men during the raids and very few came back alive."

"Well I'm going up there and giving that bastard a piece of my mind!" Sansa said jumping to her feet and grabbing the sword Hiccup had given to her.

She raced through the tunnels of the cave and found herself at the mouth. She could see the smoke and fires and heard the screams and clanging of metal. Down there there were men who needed help. And her eggs were down there as well. Helena made her hide them in the garden and promised that they'll get them back after the raid was over but Sansa was sure some of the raiders would search through the gardens for any valuables.

She ran through the trees and was greeted by a scream that made the hairs on her arms stand up on end. Who or what had screamed she didn't know but it scared her. She ran towards the place when she heard the screaming continue and felt her gut twist when she saw who had screamed.

"Hiccup!" She screamed running to her downed friend. A large knife was poking out of his stomach and another one was poking out of his chest making his breathing come out in short and wheezing gasps. "Who did this to you? Who?" She cried lifting his head and placing it in her lap.
