Chapter 5

You and Dylan stumbled along side by side with each of Thomas' arms over your shoulders, supporting the semi-conscious boy as he limped slowly to the office. U tried talking to Thomas and assuring him that he would be fine, but u might as well have been talking to a brick wall for all the good it did. Holly walked in front of u and tried to fend off the endless groups of students staring at poor Thomas and pointing. U glanced around for Charlotte but she was no where to be found.

You finally got to the office and after shoving past a group of rowdy year 10s u lowered Thomas into a chair in the office. "Please miss u have to help my friend, "Dylan said to the receptionist, "he's been beaten up and is barely conscious right now. "

Whilst 3 different office women tended to Thomas, u stood close but not too close, conscious of what u should say to holly and Dylan about what had happened back in the music room. U wanted desperately to help Thomas more, to stroke his hair, to whisper assurances in his ear and kiss his forehead. Unfortunately the office staff wouldn't think too highly of u if u did that.
Instead u simply stood there, unable to help but unable to just leave him.

The Next Day

Thomas amazingly made it into school the next day, but with a limp and a miserable look on his face. However, as u ran up to him, his face lit up, his eyes brightening and his skin glowing with happiness as you leapt into his arms. "Whoa steady, "he said as he wobbled on his feet. Quickly helping him regain his balance, u giggled slightly. "I'm sorry, I'm just so happy to see u ok. ""Not as happy as I am to see u, I'm already feeling better. "His voice was music to ur ears and made your heart melt like chocolate. "About yesterday, thank u so much for standing up to me, I'm so sorry it had to go so wrong. "He ran his finger across your cheek with a fond look on his face, "for u anything is worth it Y/N, I know it's cheesy, but it's the honest truth."

U beamed up at him, and for that moment, you couldn't picture a better morning than this. That was until u heard the booming voice of Mr. Short booming through the corridor "THOMAS! we need to speak to you in my office immediately regarding the trouble you've been causing to Henry!"
