Chapter 40

You started screaming for help and luckily Thomas was already on the phone. He hung up and yelled "The ambulance is on its way!" whilst making his way to Edies side checking for a pulse. You knew how bad it was but you couldn't help but feel a tang of jealously when Thomas's hands were all over Edie. You snapped out of it just a quickly as it came. The main thing was making sure your friend was ok. Charlotte was calling Dylan and holly and they both replied that they would call Edies parents, who are on holiday, and meet us at the hospital.
A few minutes later the ambulance came and Charlotte went with her. As it drove off you and Thomas grabbed each other's hands and jogged to his car. Once inside Thomas drove behind the ambulance.

3 hours later you, Thomas, Charlotte, Dylan and holly were all seated in the all too familiar hospital chairs. They should be reserved for you guys you thought. A doctor came in with a smile on his face... It must be good news! "Friends of Edie, I would like to inform you that she will be ok! Her bruises will heal and we have stitched up the cuts as best as we could. She passed out from shock and fear which is understandable considering the circumstances. You may visit her if you would like but not for to long, she needs rest. " We all nodded and Thomas thanked the doctor.

When we arrived at her room Dylan opened the door and Edie was laying there in a hospital gown and stitches on her head and neck. She smiled at the sight of us and we all trailed into the small room. Holly and Dylan apologised for not being there and Thomas apologised for not getting to the room sooner. Edie declined their apologies and brushed them off saying "It was no ones fault" and "I'm just glad we're all safe. " Apparently Thomas had been talking to the doctor and Thomas told Edie from the back of the room "Winston and the other guys had been arrested and all your money had been transferred back into your bank where it belongs. "Also "Your parents could not get a flight home but will be back in a week, they send their love and wishes. " Edie thanked Thomas and started whispering to Charlotte about something. Strange? You walked over to Thomas and kissed him saying how thankful you were that he was there to rescue you guys. You turned around in his arms so your back was flushed against his chest whilst his arms went protectively around your waist and stomach. You looked over to see Dylan and holly kissing in each other's arms as well. When Thomas tightened his arms around your middle his long sleeve reached up a bit and you saw something on his arm. You dragged him outside the room and said "Thomas! what's on your arms? "He looked sheepish. "Um ... nothing just a scratch from Winston." "No I know that scratch .....you self harm don't you ?!....
