Thomas X reader ~ Stick together

Chapter 58

U screamed and struggled against Thomas as he dragged you away. Suddenly realising that Thomas was involved too, you turned on him, sobbing and demanding an explanation.
"Thomas- what the hell were you doing?! You think y-you c-can just g-get rid of-f m-me and then d-do that?!"
Thomas shook his head fervently and brought you into a kiss before you could say anymore. Somehow, the thought of kissing Thomas right now repulsed you so much that you surprised yourself. You slapped him hard across the face, causing him to stagger back in shock. Before he could do anything, you'd ran away as fast as you could. You just needed somewhere to pretend none of that had just happened.
"Y/N!!!!! WAIT!!!!! Please!!!!!"
You ignored Thomas' pleas and carried on running, shoving past tourists and locals before he could catch you and make some stupid excuse for Charlottes actions. Minho and Charlotte seemed like they were about to make up back in the cafe- what had changed?

You finally stopped under an old oak tree and cried into your knees as everything started to slip away. Before they could though, Thomas ran up to you, his face full of sorrow and confusion.

"Y-y/n? I'm sorry. I didn't do ANYTHING. It was all Charlotte- s-she launched herself on me before I could s-stop her. Please, you have to understand. We can't let a poor friend's moment of confusion break us! Don't you remember what we always say to each other?" He put his hand on your knee and leaned in, concerned, "we will stick together."

Ur mind was spinning, unsure of what to believe. You realised then that you weren't angry at Thomas- or Charlotte. You were angry at yourself for not even staying around to understand. Thomas just meant so much to you that the thought of him rejecting you made you feel like nothing was worth it anymore. But it was definitely worth it today.

You raised your head slowly, staring into the warm, chocolate brown eyes you'd fallen in love with. As you looked into those eyes, you knew that nothing could be bad so long as those eyes were there.
"We stick together."

Thomas smiled at you, wiping away ur tears with his finger. You then crashed into each other, apologising to each other in a passionate kiss.
When you broke apart, you stood up and brushed yourself down, helping Thomas up too.
"Ok. Let's go find Charlotte."
"Are you sure, y/n?"
"I am. She didn't mean it- after all, she's going through a tougher time than we are right now."
"Ok then."
"Ok."

When you finally reached the hotel again, Charlotte ran up to you in a flurry of fearful apologies. U stopped her before she could say anymore and hugged her.
"Charlotte, you have nothing to be sorry about. I'm sorry I reacted that way- I didn't mean anything I said. I just got scared."
"Oh y/n, I'm sorry too. I- I don't know what came over me. Minho was still angry at himself in the cafe- he said that Thomas had no right to take pity on us and make me move in. Well, when I shouted back at him, saying you guys were just trying to help and that he should stop being so rude and ungrateful. He told me I was out of my mind, that if I loved Thomas so much for what he was doing, maybe I should just be with him. Like I said- I don't know what came over me. I thought that Minho didn't want me anymore,  I was so desperate for someone to help me through this that I mistook Thomas' kindness for romance. I wasn't thinking, y/n- I knew the second I leaned in it was a bad idea. I wasn't in a good place- but I'm ok now. I promise."

You nodded, understanding of charlottes dilemma. After all, who wouldn't feel alone and isolated if their boyfriend was acting like that?
"But Charlotte, what about Minho? Are u saying you guys still haven't sorted this out?"
Charlotte looked over at Minho, sat at a table and looking miserably over at Holly and Dylan as they kissed and giggled with each other.
"Not exactly. He's definitely calmed down, but I need to find out why he's been like this. I don't suppose you, Thomas, Holly and Dylan could go on a double date, could u? I just need to be alone with him for a couple of hours. I don't think he's been himself with all of us ganging up on him."
U laughed and nodded at Charlotte, "sure thing. We can still get into that fancy pizza place downtown! But what about Edie?"
Charlotte giggled, "oh don't worry about her. She's at some monument, listening to the hot tour guide. She reckons she'll get his number by the end of the tour!"
You both laughed, happy that Edie wasn't going to be alone again tonight. Then you walked over to Thomas, took his hand and went up to your room with Holly and Dylan to get ready for your double date.
