Chapter 51

Edie walked in, turned swiftly around and walked straight out again. U were about to get worried like last time, but u distinctly heard a chuckle of laughter as the door closed gently.

Thomas stood up and grabbed his black suit jacket, "Well, shall we?"
Taking your arm, Thomas led u to the door and u started to walk through the plush corridor to the lobby of the grand hotel. As u walked you caught a glimpse of a sparkly blue swimming pool and the warm, dim glow of a sauna through a glass window. U saw people of all ages swimming and laughing- chatting happily in various languages. U vowed that u would take a morning swim with Thomas there tomorrow.

When u arrived in the marble-pillared reception, u instantly saw ur friends, all looking handsome and beautiful in their outfits. Holly wore a stunning sunset orange dress, the vibrant colour morphing into a deep purple at her feet. The material was flowing and floated about her heels in the slight breeze. Charlotte looked equally pretty in a light blue dress, shorter in length and with delicate green flowers embroidered down the left shoulder. Finally, Edie stood in a sunshine yellow knee-length dress with a circle cut out on the back. U and Thomas both smiled at the sight of the people u loved most.

"Hey guys! Are you both ready?"
"Yeah sure! Where is this place again?"
Dylan looked at his phone and told u all, "just around the corner. Let's go!"

U arrived in the bustling restaurant and waited at the counter to be seated by the waitresses. The restaurant had a dark colour scheme, rich in dark reds and deep blues, with twinkling crystal chandeliers shining light over it all in a shimmer of rays.

Dinner was wonderful, and after bruschetta, lasagne and a fluffy chocolate mousse, u were well and truly full.
U topped the night off with a romantic stroll by the river with Thomas as the others went back to the hotel.
As you clutched Thomas' hand and gazed dreamily at the ducklings bobbing on the surface of the water, he turned ur face towards his and brought his lips to yours. As the kiss lingered on, you brought your hands to his face and felt your mind drift away with the current.
