Chapter 41: Revelations

"We're here."

Shone muttered as he parked the car a few blocks away from Standford Street.

"Is that it?" I asked, nodding to the houses stretched before our eyes as we unbuckle our seat belts.

"Block 6, Standford Street, South Delly." he nodded and pushed his door open.

I did the same and we both got off the car. I looked around the area and there were a bunch of house on both side of the street. Their were tall ones and their were small ones. The lamp posts were now glowing white and no one seemed to be outside the neighborhood. It must be late in the evening already. The place was an up hill neighbourhood just thirty minutes away from South's town.

The hour dragged by but I haven't recieved any call from Gi yet. As much as I want to be optimistic about this whole thing, the worry I have for Nia built up seconds after seconds.

Shone and I rounded at the back of the car and he slid the key on the trunk and it clicked open. He pulled it up and three suitcases and a medium size bag were lying in there.

Shone first unzipped the bag and pulled out some clothes.

"Wear this." he handed me a medium size leather jacket and two black lather gloves which I took without question.

I wore the jacket over my black top and it felt comfortable and smelled new. I then slid my hands inside the gloves and it only covered my palm amd half of my fingers. I noticed that Shone wore the other black leather jacket as well. He must've asked Tris to buy these stuffs for us because they looked totally new.

"Strap these on your waist." he handed me a black belt with sheaths attached to it.

Shone immediately proceeded to the first case. He opened it and two black guns were strapped tightly inside it. He unstrapped them one by one and later give the second one to me.

"Guns are a little better than daggers. These are full loaded ones." he said, glancinf at me.

I lifted the gun and examined it. It has an intricate design on it and it looked deadly to me. I haven't seen a gun like this before, I mean, not that I've seen many guns in my sixteen years of existence but this one looked pretty deadly.

He moved on to the second case and flipped it open. There are six magazines (a container of bullets which is being loaded inside the gun) strapped around it and two small plastic container which contained extra silver bullets.

Shone picked three magazines and handed them to me. "In case you need extra bullets." he said, picking the last three magazines and putting them on the strap of the belt on his waist.

He seemed bothered about something but he's trying hard not to let it show.

"Shone, are you okay?" I said, putting the weapons in each strap of my belt. "You don't have to do this. I'll be fine." I added, looking genuinely at him.

"No. I'm coming with you." he said firmly, putting the packs of bullet inside the pocket of his jacket. "I can't let you go alone in there." he added.

I smiled at him and nodded. "You remember the rule?" I asked, fiddling with my fingers.

"No person should be left behind in any battle." he said, smiling down at me. "I won't forget." he reached for the trunk cover and pushed it back.

He slid the key to lock it and then he turned to me.

"You ready?" his gaze bore in to me and even if he's smilng, worry was evident on his face.

I nodded and smiled back at him. "Very ready."
