Chapter 28.1: The Plan

"Now here's the plan." Crozen said after he guided me back to my seat.

I sat immediately dahil sa panghihina bigla ng aking tuhod. I was still shaken by what Crozen did and I resented him for attacking me without prior notice. My neck was still in place but I'm sure Crozen's nails left a disgusting marks around it. Nakakainis! Bakit kailangan niya pang gawin 'yon? Was he really trying to help or was he itching to kill me? Jeez.

I gave him a stern look as he stood across the table. Nanatili namang nakaupo sina Colen at Clef sa kanya kanya nilang upuan. Kalmado na sila ngayon kumpara kanina.

"Pagkatapos ng ginawa mo sa akin, siguraduhin mong maganda ang planong iyan." matigas na sabi ko habang inaayos ang lagay ng jacket ko.

Crozen just smirked at me "Well, Sassy. The plan is for you to go home and rest. I want you to forget about tonight and forget about the Black Star Society. Kami na lang bahalang rumesolba sa problemang 'to." he said flatly, lips still bleeding.

Biglang nadagdagan ang pagka'asar ko sa kanya. I laughed half-heartedly. "Teka nga, Crozen." I threw him a stern look. "Are you really expecting that I'll follow that plan? Ano bang tingin mo sa akin? Isang babaeng hindi kayang protektahan ang sarili niya?"

He shrugged. "From what I saw earlier? I'll say you're way too weak.That shouldn't surprise me, you're human." he answered coldly.

"Wow!" I exclaimed. "So you're underestimating me?! If I know, my fist was the reason behind your bruised lips. Now tell me, who's weak again?" I arched an eyebrow, not letting his lethal glare frighten me.

He smirked and pointed at his bruised lips. "You mean, this?" he shook his head and laughed quietly. "This is a mild scratch, Sassy. The enemies out there?" he pointed outside. "They could break not only your bones but also your soul. If this is all you could give me, then forget about the Black Star Society." he said flatly then he walked towards the door.

I curled my hands in to fists as anger flared up inside me. Never in my life I felt insulted like this. I admit na kumpara sa lakas ni Crozen, isa lamang kagat ng lamok ang pinakawalan kong suntok kanina. My right hand, the one I've punched him with, was badly hurt. Pero parang walang epekto sa kanya ang suntok kong iyon.

What more kung ang mismong mga Black Stars na ang makaharap ko?

"Listen here, Sassy. Paano kung bigla kang atakihin ng kalaban? What will you do to survive? Would you let anyone take your life this easy? What if they go after your family? Would you still live long enough to protect them?"

His words echoed in my ears and that's when it hit me. Without further hesitation, I said what I said next.

"You can't just leave like that, Crozen. This meeting isn't finish yet!" I called out to him.

He stopped but didn't turn around to face me. "My friends will accompany you home. I'm done here." he was about to open the door pero pinigilan ko siya.

"My family.." I said, eyes downcast.

"What about them?" he asked in a bored manner.

"I don't want them to get involve in any of my problems with the Black Star Society. I want them to be safe. I'll protect them no matter what happens." I looked at him at sakto namang humarap siya sa akin ng may blangkong tingin.

"Protect them?" he frowned. "How will you be able to do that if you're that weak?" he stood there, eyes mocking.

I took in a deep breath and met his gaze. "Train me." I answered. "Willing akong dumaan sa training. I want to prove you wrong about me being weak. I want to be strong enough to be able to protect my family. Mahalaga sila sa akin at ayoko silang mapahamak. Please Crozen, problema ko ito. Hayaan mo naman akong tumulong sa pagresolba nito." I pleaded.
