Chapter 9

When the final bell goes, Christina and I run out to my car. Chris insisted on getting me ready for my first date. We drive home and race to my floor, Chris instantly jumps into my wardrobe. 

 "I'm gonna pick out some outfits and you'll say yes or no." She yells while going through all my clothes. 

After what feels like an hour, but in reality has only been ten minutes, Christina comes out with what looks like five outfits. She hands me the first one and I head to the bathroom. 

Once I'm dressed I look in the mirror. Chris picked out a floral skater skirt, black crop top and pink leather jacket. I walk out of the bathroom and Chris squeals, " You look so good!" I just shake my head. She rolls her eyes and hands me the next outfit.

Outfit 2: Denim skirt, maroon cropped sweater and black jacket wrapped around my waist. Answer: NO

Outfit 3: Pink pastel high wasted shorts, sheer white shirt (tucked in) and floral cardigan. Answer: No

Outfit 4: Maroon dress with lace and mini belt. Answer: Maybe

Outfit 5: Light blue skater dress.

"Omg I love it!!" I squeal in excitement.

 "Me too!" Chris says, jumping up and down. "Now let's find some shoes, accessories and let's do your hair and make up!!"

 I roll my eyes, "Do I have to have make up?" I ask. 

"Of course!" Chris yells.

 I huff, "Fine but not too much!" I warn. 

Christina goes straight back to my wardrobe and comes back five minutes later with blue wedges, an infinity necklace and diamond stud earrings. She sits me down and does my hair in a fishtail braid. 

After a minute or two of arguing, Chris finally does a mostly natural look with striking highlight. I look in the mirror, "Wow, Chris." I gasp.

"Thank you so much!" I hug her. My phone buzzes, showing me a text from Uriah.

Uri- I'm here, my beauty😘
Me- Coming❤️

"He's here." I say. I grab my silver clutch, phone, charger and wallet. 

"Have fun on your date! Well not too much fun." Chris says, winking. I laugh and head to the elevator, quickly letting Caleb know that I'll be back later.

I walk outside to see Uri waiting with flowers, red roses my favourite!! "Aww thank you babe!" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek. "They're my favourite, how'd you know?" I ask while he opens the car door for me. 

"Wild guess." He answers, chuckling.  

"So where are we going?" I ask. 

"It's a surprise!" He answers. I pout and he laughs. 

We drive to a small diner. Before I even think about opening my door, Uri does it for me. What a gentlemen. "Why thank you kind sir." I say with a horrible accent. 

"Anything for you, M'lady." He replies with the same accent. We laugh and walk inside. The first thing I see is a karaoke stand, of course. A waitress leads us over to a booth in the back so we have privacy.
