THE STORY OF BERNICE

CHAPTER 29

Bernice already graduated from college. Going strong din ang relationship nila ni Philip. 3 years after graduation Philip proposed to her, and she accepted it. They were engaged for a few months when they decided to get married. It will be a beach wedding at Palawan. 

Few days before the wedding, Bernice was talking too her Tita Lynn through skype…

Bernice: tita Lynn, thanks po for allowing Paolo to be in my wedding, really I appreciate it.

Lynn: no problem Bernice, sorry we won’t be able to witness your wedding, hindi kase maiwanan yung business.

Bernice: no worries tita, I understand po.

Lynn: thank… (bigla naman pumasok si Paolo sa room ni Bernice.)

Paolo: sis, what are you doing?

Bernice: I’m talking to your mom, come, talk to her…

Lynn: hi son, how are you? Hows your flight?

Paolo: great mom, im a bit nervous, it’s my first time to travel alone, but im good. Tomorrow will go to Palawan for the wedding.

Lynn: you take care son, ok?

Paolo: yes mom thanks. I have to go; I need to meet Philip coz I need to do some fitting.

Lynn: ok, bye! Send my best wishes to Philip and Bernice, ok?

Paolo: o prob, bye mom, love you.

The wedding was fun, and mostly close friends and relatives lang ang invited. Of course, ivo’s friends we’re present. Paolo is the Best man since puro girls ang kapatid ni Philip, and yung sister naman ni Philip na closest kay Bernice ang Maid of Honor niya. Also parts of the entourage were Kath and Toff. And Chesca and Francis were one of the sponsors.

The reception followed right after, Bernice and Philip was personally thanking everyone who was there. Albie, Cha and Julia – Karl’s GF, were there too. Nasa iisang table lang sila with Kath Toff and Karl, while their parents were sharing table with their friends.

Bernice: hei, thanks for coming…

Karl: congrats ate Bernice, Kuya Philip.

Philip: thanks… Kath ano, kelan ka susunod??

Kath: huh bakit ako?

Cha: kath kung sino daw nakasalo nung bouquet nung bride, siya yung next…

Albie: ganun bay un? Napressure ako dun ha.

Kath: at alagang ikaw yung napressure ha.

Albie: siempre… sino namang mappressure na iba?

Kath: ewan ko sayo.

Bernice: iwan muna namen kayo, punta lang kame sa ibang guests. Thanks ulit ha.

Sa table nila Chesca.

Oman: buti nakasama yung BF at GF ng anak niyo chex…

C: oo, pinagpaalam namen sila coz we’re planning to stay for few more days para magbakasyon. We promised them too kase eh.

Nikki: ang tagal na din ng relationship ng mga yan no.

C: yah, after graduation HS.. Pero Karl recently lang.. mabait naman si Julia, wala ding problema nagkakasundo din sila.

Mimi: that’s good, at least wala kang problema sa mga karelasyon ng mga anak mo..

Lance: naku, pano pag biglang magpakasal na yang mga yan… you can never tell.

C: ay naku, talk to their dad. Saken ang kondisyon ko lang naman, after college, and they need to have a job na muna. Pag stable na bahala na sila. Ito, (referring to Francis) ang madaming kondiyon, especially kay Kathryn.
