CHAPTER 28

F: me and mom will be out if town this weekend.

Karl: dad can I join you?

F: no honey, sorry, next time I promise, all of us will go out of town… anywhere you want.

Kath: dad, beach! 

F: sure thing, no problem…but this time, it’s only me and mom, okay?

Toff: okay, dad. Hope you’ll have fun.

F: thanks, but promise me you’ll take care of your self, okay?

Kath: promise.

F: Kathryn, no dates on school days.

Kath: huh?

F: yes, you heard me, no dates on weekdays… 

Kath: okay.

Toff: how long will you be staying there dad?

F: over the weekend perhaps, not sure yet… take care of karl okay… and look after your sister.

Kath: dad, im not a kid anymore…

F: I know.

Sa lahat ng anak niya, kay Kathryn ito pinaka protective, hindi dahel wala tong tiwala kay Albie, but because she is his only daughter. He couldn’t even imagine her na oneday bigla na lang nitong sasabihin na magpapakasal na siya.. not in his wildest dreams. Swerte lang siya that Albie is a responsible guys, not only does he care for her but for karl too. Madalas din na pag wala sila ni Chesca, he stays at their house to look after them. He treats Albie as a son too, like what chesca wishes him to do. Siguro dahel ganun din naman ang turing ng parents ni Chesca sa kanya dati that’s why he do it to Albie in return. He is also fond of Kristoff’s GF, Charisse. Close si Cha kay Chesca, and Kathryn, maybe because kath longs for a baby sister at nakita niya ito sa kanya.. Mas bata ito ng one year sa twins. Madalas din na nasa bahay nila si Cha, just like Albie.

Chesca and Francis decided to go to Amanpulo again. Matagal na din kase silang hindi nakakapag out of town ng silang dalawa lang. naiwan yung mga bata with their yaya Violy. But they check on them from time to time, especially si Chesca who always keep in touch.

F: baby, sino nanaman yang tinatawagan mo?

C: I’m trying to call Kathryn or Kristoff pero parehong hindi sumasagot.

F: try calling yaya violy.

C: wala daw dun yung mga bata eh…

F: what do you need from them ba?

C: wala, im just checking..

F: akala ko ba, you wanted to go back to Amanpulo to spend “quality” time with me, tapos check ka ng check sa mga bata.

C: natural, I’m worried, I’m a mom…

F: malalaki na yun, they can take care of themselves…

C: I want to make sure they’re ok… anong oras na wala pa sila sa bahay nila no.

F: (he called Albie to check on them, for sure alam niya kung nasaan yung mga bata) hello Albie, where are you?

Albie: im home tito.

F: are you with Kathryn?

Albie: no tito, pero sinundo po sila ni Tita Gianne after lunch, they’re going out daw po with them. Hindi po ba nagsabi sa inyo?

F: no eh, we’ve been trying to call them but both Kathryn and Kristoff are not answering.

ALbie: ah baka po nasa cinema pa, last text I received po kase from Kath, manonood po sila ng movie with her cousins..
