In fifth and sixth grade, Zoe, Jacki, and I all had the same terrible bus driver. Here are the main two stories of her unmatched awfulness. I kind of think she might have been the sister of our reading teacher.

The first was when in June, when we were being "rowdy". She decided tat to get back at us, she'd turn off the AC. Any lucky soul with an undershirt stripped down to their undershirts and guys were just plain shirtless.

When I got off the bus, Zoe told me that if it was cooler outside to give a thumbs up. Without hesitation, I stuck my thumb up and breathed a sigh of relief.

I have never forgiven her.

The second incident was in sixth grade.

I sat in the back seat with a fifth grader named Anabelle. Ms. Blue, the bus driver, called over the loudspeaker, "Lil boy! Lil boy in the back! Green shirt!"

She began to get very angry.

"Green shirt! You. Don't. Sit. There."

I looked down at my shirt. It was green.

Oh my God. Seriously? Get some glasses, lady!

I stood up and held out my ponytail.

"Sorry! Never mind!"

I was like, grrr.

Bus drivers. Can't deal with them, can't deal without em!
