Setting: Three years After CA:CW
You and Bucky were Baby sitting Steve and Sharon's six month old Baby Boy while they were on a mission. Bucky was overly cautious around the baby, but you had repeatedly told him he didn't have to be.
"Y/N..C-can you take him back now?" You smiled, chuckling slightly. "Just put him in his crib. It's nap time anyway."
Bucky groaned nervously as Baby James pulled his hair. "Y/N?" You turned around hearing the strain in Bucky's voice. Trying not to let out a laugh you took James from him. "Don't laugh! It's not funny." Both James' had similar pouts amongst being separated.
"It's kind of hilarious, Barnes." James was asleep in your arms in a matter of minutes, and you carefully sat down next to Bucky, watching as he carefully smoothed the baby's blonde hair. "I want one." He murmured, softly, resting his head on your shoulder.
"Really?" He nodded, kissing your cheek. "What makes you say that?"
"I just..I look at Steve and Sharon, and they're so happy now that they're parents, and I'm happy, I mean, with you I don't think I could be more happy. But, just seeing their bond grow so much stronger since Baby James...I don't know. I just don't want us to become unhappy."
"Okay."
"I mean I know it's a lot- Wait, did you just say okay?" You could've sworn someone had just flipped a light switch inside Bucky's Face. "Yeah, I mean. We'd have to take a lot of time off, but in the end it'd be worth it. I couldn't think of anyone else I'd want to be the father of my children, and I can't see myself leaving you or you leaving me anytime soon, so yeah. Let's do it. Let's have a kid." Bucky's smile was that resembling a clear sky with no clouds.
"God, you don't know how much I love you."
"Wait til' Steve comes back. Then you can show me."
