"Hello?"
"Henry, he's in my house."
That's how Henry ended up at the dining room table across from Jefferson and beside you.
Henry quickly noticed how your hand was shaking and that your grip was tight. "You're okay. Just breathe." He murmured, before kissing your cheek.
"So, Henry. You're the Mayor's son, right?" Jefferson questioned, eyeing Henry slightly.
"Yeah." Jefferson nodded, switching his gaze from you to Henry often. "And what's your relationship to my-to
Y/N?" He seemed to be gripping his fork tighter."Um- She's my girlfriend." Henry fought the urge to cock his head at him. I mean- I know he's her dad but she doesn't know that.
"I-I can't do this." He watched as she let go of his hand, and went to get up and go after her, but before he could go after her, Jefferson stood before telling him to sit.
He may not have seemed it, but he was nervous as hell. He was going to tell
Y/N she was his. Her mother had told him she was adopted at birth. It should be easy, right?"Y/N? Are you okay?"
She turned around, not bothering to wipe her tears. "Are you my Dad?"
"Wait, darling. What?" She sniffed.
"Did I stutter? Am I your daughter?"
"Yes. You are." She tried to back up against the counter. "Do you know how long I've been looking for you? How many days k wished I'd met my real Dad, just to ask him why he gave me up? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because this isn't something that you just Spring on someone. How would you feel if I had randomly come up to you and said, 'Oh, there's been a curse out on this damned town and now you don't know you're my real daughter.' I wouldn't do that to you, Y/N. Ever."
She kept crying and Jefferson had no idea what to do. So slightly we stepped toward her and opened his arms, to which she walked straight into, and slowed her breathing.
"You're really my Dad. You're really real." Explaining the happiness of finding your parent by birth is so amazing. And you wouldn't trade that feeling for the world.
