After shopping, we came back home to Two-bit and Johnny sitting on our couch, listening to the radio. We couldn't afford a television quite yet.

"What are you guys doing here?"

I asked them, in shock.

"Well, we have to tell you guys some news. Steve and Soda bought a house together just a few minutes away from here. They wanted us to tell you that."

Said Two.

"Why didn't they tell us in person?"

Asked Ponyboy, confused. It's true, why would they just aimlessly buy a house for no reason?

I remembered Soda talking about moving a long time ago, so I guess it does make sense.

"Well, Soda didn't think you guys would care too much. Ah well! Do y'all have any food?"

Asked Two-Bit. I laughed.

"I don't suppose you two would like to stay for supper?"

I asked. They both nodded, excitedly. I grinned and started unpacking the groceries. I was just going to make chicken and potatoes and broccoli tonight, nothing too exciting. I began to cook the broccoli and potatoes first and then I put the chicken in the oven. The broccoli and potatoes were over the stove so that I could make them faster.

Ponyboy came up behind me and snaked his arms around my waist then lifted me off of the ground. I began to laugh. He put me down, finally.

"Do you need any help, bunny?"

He asked me.

"Bunny? That's a new one!"

I smiled and handed him plates and kissed his cheek. He turned around and set the table while I finished off dinner. When Two and Johnny heard the plates being set, it was like god was calling their names. They jumped over the couch and sat in two seats that were set. I laughed.

"What was that?!"

"Little dance routine we put together"

Two said, winking. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

When everything was finished cooking, I brought each dish to the table, Ponyboy brought the chicken.

Two and Johnny immideatly started eating, which made me laugh.

"So what's new, you guys? Haven't seen y'all in a while."

I said to them. They looked at each other and shrugged. Ponyboy rolled his eyes at them.

"Really, nothin new has been going on. How about you two, though?"

Johnny asked us. I looked down at my plate.

"I don't suppose you heard what happened to me, did you?"

I asked them. Johnny and Two looked at me sympathetically and nodded. Ponyboy looked down at his lap.

"It's okay, Lucy. That guys a coward, and he ain't got nothin better to do with his life then to make other people's miserable. He's a low life loser, so don't worry about it."

Johnny said, attempting to comfort. I smiled at him, trying to make it seem like I actually even cared anymore about that.
