We sat on the floor talking about our lives. I told her about me and Ponyboy's relationship, busted her myth about why we eloped from our home. She was actually a pretty decent person.
"Can I ask you something, Jess?"
She nodded, hesitantly.
"Do you always use protection? You know, with your clients?"
I asked her. She thought about it for a second, then nodded.
"Yeah, yeah I do. I just wish I new who did it. I have too many people a day to keep track. I don't even want this baby at all. I want it out of me. NOW!"
She demanded. I nodded, understandingly. I wanted to take her mind off of this topic, but I just didn't know how.
"If I tell you a secret about me, ten you tell me a secret about you."
"No fair! I'm hiding the biggest secret there is right in my stomach!"
I chuckled. She smiled at me.
"Go deeper than that."
I said to her. She thought, then i saw her get an idea.
"I've never been on a real date before."
She said to me. My eyes widened in shock.
"Are you kidding!? How is that even possible, Jess?"
She laughed and nodded. She was actually very pretty with no makeup on. Her hair was blonde and wavy, and she had big, bright pink lips. Her eyes were bright blue, just like Sodas.
"Now you gotta tell me a secret!"
She said to me. I laughed and nodded. I had to think of one. I had many embarassing secrets, which I guess fit pretty well in this situation.
"Well, this is a secret to Ponyboy's brothers and our friends, because if I told them this was true, they would never believe me."
I said. She nodded, waiting for what I was about to tell her.
"I'm a virgin, and uh, so is Ponyboy."
I said. She widened her eyes.
"That can't be true. Really? But, why do you both barely have clothes on today?"
She asked. I shrugged.
"We were both really hot, I guess. I don't know, I'm waiting for the perfect moment. He's the love of my life, without a doubt. But, i just have to wait a little longer, I think."
I said. She smiled and nodded.
"Well by all means, don't rush it. You see where that gets you."
She laughs and points to her stomach. I smiled and nodded.
"Listen, I'm glad you told me that, and I'm glad we had this talk. You really made me feel a lot better about this whole baby thing."
She said. I smiled.
"No problem."
