It was Sunday, which was the day of the dinner at the Curtis house. I was nervous but also excited to see how everyone reacts around Jess.

On the bright side of things, I woke up in a pool of blood! So, that means I had to do the laundry but also that I'm not pregnant. Ponyboy woke me up because he didn't know why there was blood or what to do.

"It's rag time, baby."

I say to him. He smiled and nodded. Rag time was an old term for when women got their period, before our time, they used rags instead of what I use, called a tampon. Anywho, I got up and took the sheets off and went into the bathroom to do my business.

I first got my period when I was 12, which is rather early for most girls. My mom wasn't alive, so I had no one to tell but my father, which was awkward. But, who cares now?

I got out of the bathroom to Ponyboy cooking me breakfast. I smiled and sat at the kitchen table.

"What's this for, Pon?"

"My brother always told me to be super nice to you around this time of month. You're always doing things for me, so why shouldn't I repay you?"

I chuckled and got up and hugged him. I buried my head into his chest , which was surprisingly cold contrary to the hot temperature. He grasped onto my hand and kissed it softly, making me smile. He chuckled and softly caressed my face, then turned back to the eggs he was making. Ponyboy was now a good 8 inches taller than me, which was perfect. I stood no taller than 5 foot 3, while he was around 6 foot. I was short, but I looked in the mirror and saw a large stomach and large thighs. I guess Ponyboy didn't care, which made it easier for me to be naked around him.

We ate breakfast for about an hour, just talking about different things. I enjoyed his company more than anyone else's in the entire world.

"I have to go take a shower, Ill be back in a little bit, alright?"

Ponyboy said to me. I began to pick up the dishes before he stopped me,

"Hey, leave the dishes for me. You go rest your pretty little head."

He smiled at me and kissed my nose. I blushed. He was so cute with words. No wonder he got the writing job!
