Chapter 1

"Excuse me!" Trinity Lynwood gasped as she pushed her way through the crowded shop. "Coming through!" She was shopping for a dress for the future prom at her school. She had flown all the way from Canada to study here as she got a scholarship and was on her term break.

After much pushing and shoving, Trinity finally escaped the clothing shop with the sunset yellow dress and matching gold 3-inch heels. She turned the corner into the 41st street, where her apartment was and pulled out her phone to look like she was busy so no one would harass her.

"Hey, do you have two seconds?" Zach Beeken called to some random passing girls. When they shook their heads and walked past, Zach mentally face palmed himself. "Guys, I can't do this!" He called to his bandmates, Andrew and Colton. His mentor on the X Factor, had told them to help Zach gain more confidence but trying to pick up chicks was definitely not helping. "C'mon, Zach! At least get 3 numbers!" Colton said, peeking out from his and Andrew's hiding spot. "I already have 3!" Zach told him. "Well, go get some more!" Andrew yelled back. "Fine!" He said and shot both of them death glares. He rolled his eyes and turned back to the street. That was when he saw her. She was an absolute beauty. She had long, slightly curled dark brown hair and had a strand falling across her face. She had the right curves and perfect lips. Zach took a deep breath. "Hey, can I have your number?" He called and mentally slapped himself for not using a better line. Her head shot up and he saw her liquid amber eyes that she had been hiding. "Me?" She asked. There was no doubt she recognized him. "Yeah." He replied. "You sure?" she questioned again, frowning cutely. "Yup." He said, popping the 'p'. "Alright then..." When he was done punching the numbers into his phone, he almost jumped for joy. Score for him!

"Well, I gotta get going. Bye!" She told him.

"Wait! I didn't catch your name!" Zach called after her desperately.

"Trinity. Trinity Lynwood. And yours?" She asked him a little cheekily. Zach leaned towards her and whispered in what he hoped was a seductive manner. "I think you already know." It must've worked for she blushed as she walked away. Zach smiled at her retreating back.

"Man, I didn't know you had it in you!" Andrew crowed behind him.

"Me neither..." Zach replied, almost in awe.
