Chapter 25

(Zach's P.O.V)

I watched as Trinity ran down the stage and disappeared from my sight, her guitar still clutched in Lauren's hands. The backstage crew manager came hurrying over, a frown etched on his face. "Things are going as planned." he muttered as he led us onstage. "Then, Lauren will take over Trinity's parts." He spat out Trinity's name as he handed us the microphones. Eyes gleaming with hatred, he turned on his heel and marched away, muttering something about "Stupid Relationships that ruin everything". I rolled my eyes and faced the stage as the lights came on. "Hello!" Andrew called as the audience applauded. "We're singing our new single today, featuring Fifth Harmony!" They had already recorded the single with us a few days back. I kept silent as Colton and Andrew started the introduction to the tour, staring at the ground. "We just wanna thank you guys so, so much. I love y'all!" Colton called as the music came back on.

The first thing I did once the performances were over was ask everyone where Trinity was. No one knew. I ran around the place, dreading calling her phone for fear that I would be rejected. When I finally upturned every stone, I decided to call her cell. Standing in the middle of a room full of activity-Fifth Harmony practicing, Andrew sleeping and Colton trying out Flappy Bird-I waited for Trinity to pick up. Pacing up and down in the middle of the room pissed many people off, but Trinity didn't pick up. On the third call, I heard a distant ringing of a phone. Curiously, I followed the sound of Flo Rida's 'Whistle'. I saw Trinity's phone, lying there all alone, playing the song again and again. All hope in me of finding her disappeared, leaving me like a deflated balloon. I grasped it in my hand. She was gone, and I was never to be trusted by her again.

(Colton's P.O.V)

I groaned in defeat as I scored yet another 8 on Flappy Bird. To be honest, the game was jut a distraction for me to delay dropping the bomb on Andrew and Zach about me leaving the band. Zach had enough to worry about and Andrew wouldn't be able to handle it alone. I had always wanted to be a solo artist and I was glad to have been a such a great band with Zach and Andrew but being in a group was never part of my dreams. I told Chloe a couple of weeks ago, and she was really supportive, but she had to leave for an expedition to Antarctica as a future scientist and we both knew long distance relationships never work out well, so we broke up. It was really heart breaking for the both of us, but we felt it was for the better. I closed my eyes briefly before looking back at the yellow bird on the screen. I will tell them next week, I promised myself as I turned back to the game. I will.
