"Crazy Weekend"

I don't even know where to start? I took a long weekend was off on Friday because I was going to see "The Band Perry" the wonderful Country band I like with the good man-hater music, "Chain-saw", "Grave Digger" and "All I Want to be is DONE!". At first I invited my daughter's and my niece said she wanted to come too. Well, my daughters faked out and my niece already had bought her ticket and invited a friend, so I was bummed. I went ahead and bought 2 tickets because I thought I really should go to the concert since this band has been my inspiration. Really! I could not think of who to invite as most of my friends do not like country music. Also, I don't know how to explain it but it has been a little weird with everyone since it is now public knowledge that I am separated from Mr. Man. It is weird your friends and family say that everything is the same, but it truly is not. I already feel the distance, although everyone really has been great, but there is some disconnect. Soooo with that dilemma who to invite was the question? I finally thought of another "Divorcee" like me that I meet from one of my wine friends, I have her as a Face Book friend and she is always going out to Country Bars. Well, she readily accepted and I was "Thankful" really I truly did not have anyone to go with and would have felt like a third wheel with my niece.

Well, I get all dolled up and had the perfect outfit; it is great when your outfit comes together. I looked fabulous and posted a Face Book picture. At first we get there and it was a little awkward, we had seats in the stand and my niece is not like her aunt she can sometimes be a little moody and an introvert. Well, the band starts playing and started off strong with "Grave Digger" and I am truly the only one up dancing in the stands. Well good thing it was not too packed, so we were drinking. Before I know it "Divorcee" says lets stand in the front, we go out to the floor and before we know it all of us are dancing and taking snap chats and having a great time. The concert was soooo good and listening to "All I want to be is Done" was fantastic! My niece took a great video of me dancing and we did not post it but when I see it, I look so happy. You know I really am finding out that happiness is from within; I have these small moments and just know I am happy. I was not happy for a long time. At the bar I made some new friends, one of ladies is married but always goes out. I told her to be careful that is how me and Mr. Man started and soon we had the disconnect. I told her to ask her self if she was truly happy and if she is not she is only existing but not living. Life is too short to only exist, we all need to live and be happy. I am now Face Book friends with this young lady and I get the feeling we will see each other again.

Well, I was again plastered all over Face Book and so much love from everyone. The party continued on Saturday my daughter invited me to a Blues Festival and it was so good, my daughter was tipsy and looked so cute in her outfit. I was a bit low keyed as I wanted to go out later after the festival. I had no idea where I was going and was bummed to find out that my daughter was not going to go out with me as she had to work early the next day. So, I meet some new characters, there was this man who was completely infatuated with one of the lead singers. He was interesting and engaging we conversed and he bought me a few drinks and we talked most of the evening. I thought to myself here is an interesting man my age and all he can think about is the lead singer who is at least 15 years younger and she will never have him. What is wrong with these men? Here I am right next to him, I am not a troll, I am beautiful, smart and real not some person that he could never have, but he is interested in sexy young girl. In the end, we did exchange Face Book addresses and talked about maybe hanging out some time. I was not offended by this man or the fact that he was not interested in me, I just like to observe the human condition and wonder how we every procreated?

At the Blues Festival I ran into an old friend, well not in age but a crazy young lady that I have known for 20 years, she is about 11 years younger than me. I told her I was separated and of course she readily invited me to join her and a group of friends, downtown to the local bars. Well, we exchanged numbers and she was to text me to meet them. The festival was over early, so I walked over to a Wine Bar to kill time, I always wanted to go there but never had the opportunity. I sit at the bar and quickly noticed this was "classy"; there were a group of young people that looked like they belonged in San Francisco or LA. Yeah, I would frequent these types of classy joints out by Monterrey and Oakland when I would go out on business, so I was surprised that my small town had such a place. I order a wine and strike up a conversation with the bartender and young gentlemen, there was a little snooty bitch who would give me the evil eye, but I didn't care. I finished my drink and thought I will be back.

I finally got to the bar and "Crazy Girl" was there with a group of young men and they were cute. I readily received a lot of attention, you know how it is when "new blood" comes into a group, and everyone is interested. "Crazy Girl' also had another "Crazy Friend" with her and it was apparent she was not too happy I was there, this girl reeked of charisma and ego, so another alpha female was not too inviting. We decided to go to another bar, yeah this place I never had the opportunity to hang out. I always heard it was fun, and it was FUN. I bought "Crazy Friend" a drink and that's all it took we were all dancing, drinking and having a great time. We also took pictures and posted on Face Book, yeah there is me with a whole bunch of young men and beautiful people, this "Cougar" (me) smack in the middle with some young man hugging on me. It was great, not sure if Mr. Man even knows I have a Face Book but when he sees this picture it will drive him crazy. I am not sure if Mr. Man is even jealous of me or even wants me but he has such a big ego, this will drive him crazy.

At the end of the night, "Crazy Girl" and two of her cute guy friends went to my house to continue the party. The two young gentlemen first invited us over but I told them to come to my house as my refrigerator was stocked with leftover beer from the Quince. I really should have thought this through, they drank until 4AM, I stopped drinking early because I know my limits, but we had such interesting conversation I did not notice the time. These young men were military and educated, yet they were big partiers but they knew how to hold on a conversation. There was a moment when one the young men asked me how I was feeling about the break up and I told him the truth. I obviously am not over it as I keep talking about it, I am pissed as hell, but there is no turning back. So what am I to do sit around and wait, no I am going out and having a good time? He told me it took him a year to get over his divorce and I had more guts than him. Everyone spent the night, of course in separate areas, the next morning, I made breakfast we all sat at the table and talked as I drank a cup of coffee and they drank their beer. Really?

I only have to laugh.
