Closure
Closure comes when you least expect. I have agonized for over a year on how my marriage was just over from one day to another. I never really knew why and I went on and found somebody wonderful when I least expected. But that nagging thought behind my head, why? I am happy I have done more with my life than ever and have a wonderful man in my life but still why? My divorce was final and I was thrilled but still that nagging voice why?
Yes, Mr. Man has continued be an asshole, hoeing around with all of the ladies in town going through a major mid-life crisis it is laughable. I bump into him all the time and just think to myself "Oh how embarrassing I cannot believe I was married to him." Well of course, he has caused himself all kinds of trouble and he thought he was lucky got his DUI was able to take AA courses and reinstated his Driver's License he even is buying a house, on top of the world. Well, then that's when Karma comes and hits you in the ass, the court finally sentenced him for his DUI and he got off easy minimal fine and the upstanding citizen that he is the court gave him leniency. The court gave him leniency but not his job they say it is standard policy to fire you once you have been charged a DUI. He had never been officially charged so of course he was not fired but now they want to fire him. So guess who needs my help. Yes, there are benefits when you are married to an intelligent smart woman. Yes, married, and he no longer is married to me.
Well he texted me and I agreed to see him. He pleads his case, oh so unfair. I listen and then I say, well I feel so sorry for you but after everything that you have done to me, you expect for me to help you. He says's nothing. Remember according to him he has done nothing. I just continue, I tell him I know that you left the marriage just because you were interested in someone else; you wanted to f#@# someone else and could not do that while you were married. Then you had the audacity to think you could come back once you found out I had a boyfriend. You have the nerve to ask me back and tell everyone that you begged me to come back to make yourself feel better. Really??? You were out at the Club that following weekend screwing around, you never wanted me back. How on earth would you ever think that I would take you back when you were screwing everyone in town? You must have thought I was stupid, only a stupid woman would take you back. His response, no you're not stupid. I ignored him, and said at that time I had just meet a wonderful man and believe me I never would have taken the chance on you when I had an opportunity to have a good time with someone else. And now I have trust issues, this wonderful man wants to marry me be with me and I can't do it. So, later he can say after 20 years I didn't really love you! Mr. Man flinched but said nothing. I told Mr. Man you were mean to me, you were a bad man. You left me and you have the audacity to lie about me and say that I was the one who had an affair. Lies! All Lies! And you know it. I have your stupid friends look at me cross sided and they make snide comments about when they see me in public. I have gone through so much humiliation all because of you. You acted like you never ever cared about me you tell your friends that you're so glad you left, like I was not with you for 20 years of my life. Do you know how that hurt? I suffered so much for your behavior. He then say's I am grateful; you gave me 20 years of your life. I just glare.
I looked at him and said, there is a God in heaven and you know everything that happens to you is because you do not live right. You need to live right and ask God for forgiveness. Of course he just stares at me.
Well, I told him I would help him with a letter of petition to keep his job. I hope he does well; he needs to go on with his life and I hope he buys his house. My girls need a place to visit him. He is making progress he now has a girlfriend. I told him to treat her right. She seems to be more his speed. I rather him date one lady than all ladies.
So after 559 days I finally had my day and was able to speak my mind. It's crazy but I feel so relieved, all I needed was closure. I only have to laugh.
