Am I Ever going to have a Date?
I am really starting to wonder if I am ever going to have a date. I always said that I did not need a man and now I know that it is really true. Don't get me wrong I am really having a good time. I have so many friends and go out all the time almost every weekend. I just really do not have any interest in anybody? I have been approached by many men but no one has flat out asked me out on a date? I know that I am being picky but I just do not find myself dating just anyone? I have my reservations I do not want to get stuck with another guy that I have nothing in common. My therapist said that I should wait 6 months to start casual dating and 1 year for intimacy? Really? I thought to myself, no problem, I can't even have anyone ask for my number? Let alone date! I will pass that task easily. Everyone says, try a dating site and you will have all kinds of dates, but that scares me. It also makes me feel like a big loser, I can't believe that I can't find one date on the outside, what happened to just old fashion dating? I am even more bummed because Mr. Man is already dating? (I think) So fucken unfair he is a man and can just ask anyone and troll, but not me, I have to have morals!!! I almost feel pressured and I know it's not supposed to be a competition but I feel that I really should start dating? The sad thing is I really do not have a clue? I don't even know how to begin? I feel so stupid. I hate that I am a confident woman and am comfortable with myself but inside of me I feel so inadequate. I am a smart successful woman but yet, society has conditioned me to feel like I need to have someone in my life and it scares me??? I do not want to be that strong, eccentric lady that everyone so praises because she is confident and chooses to be alone. I wonder, is that really true??? I am now skeptical because really inside of me I want to have a date but at the same time scared that if I continue down this path I will get comfortable and forever be alone. I only have to laugh???
