I wake up on this beautiful, sunny, day to the smell of fresh pancakes.
I open my tired eyes and lift my head up off the soft pillow. I find Annie, Peeta, and Finnick sitting around eating breakfast.
"Why didn't you wake me earlier?" I ask.
"Because you look peaceful when you sleep." Peeta says to me.
"Oh. . . Whatever." I say.
I go into the washroom with some clothes and have a shower. When my shower is finished I put on my baby blue short shorts with a white crop top. I straighten my long brown hair and put on my hightops and a snap-back hat.
When I walk out I grab some left over pancakes and eat them.
"Well, someone looks badass." Finn says.
"Well I'm just that awesome." I say.
Finnick just roles his eyes in a playful way and rummages through his suit case.
"Oh my god!" Finnick yells.
"What?!" Annie asks.
He pulls out a Kit-Kat and looks at me.
"This is your new name Kit-Kat." he says.
"Fuck off fish boy." I say.
"Ooh, buuuurn!!" Peeta yells and Annie smacks his face lightly.
"Thank you Annie." I say.
She nods her head and gets her purse. Annie counts her money and looks at us.
"We need to go shopping while we are here!"
"Totally." I say and the boys groan.
Later we are in the fancy lobby going to our car.
When we get in, Annie drives and Finn sits up front with her.
We pull up to this outlit mall and the first store I go into is Nike.
I buy running shoes and t-shirts there and Annie buys the same.

After hours of shopping we are all exausted.
"Wait here. I'll go put the things in the car before we eat." I say.
"Okay." Peeta says.
When I put the shopping bags in the car I hear a gun shot and a girl's scream.
That's Annie! I think to myseld and throw the bags into the car and close the trunk.
I sprint over to Annie, Finnick and Peeta and when I get there I scream.
Peeta is laying in a pool of his own blood, groaning in pain, with a bullet hole just missing his heart.
"NOOO!!" I scream!!
"SOMEBODY CALL THE AMBULANCE!! HURRY!" I scream again.
I start to bawl and hold Peeta's hand.
"Stay with me. Help is on the way." I reassure Peeta.
"Katniss." he groans in pain.
He closes his eyes and I tell him to stay with me and help is coming repeatedly.
Soon enough the ambulance is here and they put him onto a strecher and in.
I try to get in but the paramedics won't let me!
"Please let me in with him." I beg through thick tears.
"Sorry ma'am but his condition is too critical." the paramedic says.
The ambulance drives me away and I feel Finnick pick me up. Him and Annie take me to his car and we drive to the hospital.
When we get there, I run up to the receptionist.
"Peeta Mellark?!" I ask franticly.
"He is in the ER. Sorry." she says to me.
I sit down in a chair and start to sob while Finnick and Annie say soothing words to me.
After hours of waiting a doctor comes up to us.
"Hello. I am Beetee, Peeta's doctor." the man in white says to us.
"How is he?!" I almost yell.
"Well. . . Peeta is. . ."
