(Note: This chapter is due to be rewritten. Now that I look back on it over a year later, I'm not happy with how it turned out.. (note written 2/26/15))

~Amy~
I wouldn't let Sonic out of my sight all day. All he did was sit around the workshop anyway, staring out the window like he was in deep thought. He didn't speak to me and I didn't say much to him. I just kinda went about my day, keeping a close watch on him. I could last until we were alone. Or at least that's what I kept telling myself.
"Choo choo!" The chao cooed to each other as they played some sort of chao version of ring-around-the-rosie in the floor. Giggling, Cream picked up Buddy and held him up to Sonic. The chao suddenly seemed a bit disturbed as though he didn't quite fancy being so close to him.
"Wanna play with Little Buddy, Mister Sonic?" Cream asked happily.
Sonic gave her a disgusted look. "You mean that thing? Ew, no thanks." Then he turned back to the window.
Cream just stared up at him as if she didn't understand. "But.. he's your chao. You don't wanna play with him?"
Sonic groaned. "I said no, creampuff. I don't like that thing." He turned back toward the window again, mumbling something under his breath.
Cream walked up to me pitifuly with tears in her eyes. I opened my arms and she walked in. "It's alright, Cream," I said softly, petting her head. Then I stood from my chair and skipped over to Sonic. "Let's go talk~" I said, tugging on his arm. He looked at me for a second as if he were going to scold me, but stopped himself short.
"Uh.. Okay.." He had a sort of awkward smile, and let me pull him up and to the hallway, where I literally ran into Shadow on accident.
"Where are you two going?" The dark hedgehog asked in his flat tone.
"To be alone~" I cooed, then started skipping down the hall towards Sonic's room.
"..Don't come back pregnant.." I heard him say as we passed, to which I blushed. They were all probably suspecting something now.
I pushed him in in front of me and shut the door behind me. I leaned against the door and locked it behind my back. Then I glomped him onto the bed, where I turned him to face me and pinned him down. My happy, cheerful expression turned to a serious one as I pinned his arms above his head.
"You will never, ever take Sonic from me, you sick woman." I hissed with venom in my voice.
His eyes widened. "Amy Rose, what are you talking about?"
"Don't give me that! Tell me why you're masquerading as him!" I spat, tightening my grip on his wrists.
He scoffed. "If you're saying I'm the imposter, then why did you pick me?"
"So I could interrogate you personally, why else?" I said, slowly twisting one of the wrists. "Sonic would have never admitted what I recorded in front of the others. He would've never said I was jealous of Helen. He would've never made Cream upset.. And last but not least, he wouldn't have run in asking for help." I scoffed. "You need to work on your acting skills."
'He' smirked. "That's just what he said."
I twisted the wrist harder, causing 'him' to twitch in pain. "But how did you know about last night? How did you know who Helen was? I thought for sure that'd trip you up, you filthy stalker."
In the blink of an eye, the blue hedgehog beneath me morphed into the Lavender I despised so much. She brought her knee up into my stomach to which I raised up as to avoid the pain it would bring. Catching me off guard, she just totally slammed up at me, knocking me off the side bed. She stood up on the bed, glaring down at me. She took a knife from seemingly nowhere and tossed it down, it sticking into the floor just a centimeter away from my head.
"Understand why I was Sonic now, Princess?" She teased with a maniacal smile. It clicked: she was trying to kill me.
She took another knife and jumped at me, laughing hysterically. I rolled just in time to dodge it and stood up, drawing out my hammer. She was in the middle of the room. If I tried to go for the window, she would catch me. If I tried to go for the door, she would get me, since I had the stupid mistake of locking it. Me bringing her in here was part of her plan, I could see it on her face. Me choosing her, me knowing it was her, Sonic being away from us and tied up, me getting her alone.. It was all part of her plan. Killing me was also part of her plan; but that was the part I wasn't going to play along with.
I stood in a readied stance, waiting for her to strike. "What, too afraid to move?" She taunted with a dark laugh. She came at me to stab me, and though I thrusted my hammer out to block her, the blade still braised my shoulder, cutting a slit in my dress. I was officially frightened. Before I knew it, the knife was coming at my chest. I started to fall to the side but she blocked me with her arm, so that she didn't stab at my heart; but my shoulder.
An evil grin found its way to Lavender's lips. "That's it," she said darkly. "I'll kill you off slowly."
I ducked under her arm and leaped out of her way, but only ended up falling on my face. Terror sweeping over me, I screamed as she approached me again, murder in her dead eyes. She raised the blade to strike again, when the door burst open.
"Amy!" I heard Sonic's voice as he rushed over, tackling Lavender to the side.
"Sonic.." I whispered with tears in my eyes.
Sonic stood over Lavender and stepped on the wrist that held the knife. "You're insane," he breathed darkly, glaring down at her. "You can impersonate my friends. You can impersonate me. But when you try to murder my girlfriend, that's when it gets personal."
Lavender looked up to him, a wave of fear washing over her face. Shadow came up beside Sonic as backup, his normal expression enough to add to it.
"Sc-...S-scary!" She yelped, pressing a button on her wristband. Within seconds she was gone; just disappeared into thin air.
"Coward," Shadow scowled, clenching his fists. Sonic ran over to me, taking me up in his arms and covering me in kisses. I smiled tearfully, reaching my hand up to his cheek, still hung on the fact that he referred to me as his girlfriend.
"Sonic.." I said under my breath. "I'm sorry. I knew it was you... I.. I thought I was being strategic.. But I wasn't strong enough..."
He leaned into my touch and shushed me. "Don't be sorry, Amy. You're okay and that's all that matters now." He said softly with a sad smile.
Shadow snuck behind Sonic and cleared his throat. "Ahem..sorry to interrupt your little love fest, but her wound need to be tended to before she bleeds out.."
Sonic nodded and lay me on his bed. "Go get Tails." He said to Shadow, who, surprisingly, nodded and went out. Sonic calmly went to his dresser and got a piece of clothing out, and pressed it to my shoulder to try and supress the bleeding. I watched, thought I was in quite a bit of pain and getting dizzy; he seemed to be in deep thought.
As always, just in the knick of time, he crashed in and saved me. Just like he always did in the past. Realizing that, I teared up.
"Hm? Does it hurt worse now?" He questioned with a concerned look.
I shook my head. "I just.. I just love you so much, Soniku.."
This was the part where he would usually either brush it off, or act embarrassed or disinterested.
But with me slowly drifting off into unconsciousness, I could've sworn I heard the sweet, soft words; "I love you more."
