I spun around in my new tan dress, stopping to look myself over in the mirror. I automatically looked to my right, where Cheese was missing. He had always been there by my side, but now were we apart, and I didn't know if he was okay or not. "Oh Cheese.." I whispered sadly, feeling tears come to my eyes.

In the reflection, I noticed the knob of the door behind me beginning to jiggle. I wiped my eyes with my wrist and turned around as it opened. A nice-looking grey-colored puppy lady smiled at me. "Are you ready? The tea party is about to begin."

I nodded and followed as she ushered me out. She walked me down the hall and to a big, open room with a large table. Mister Indigo was sitting there, next to a purple girl.

"Cream! My, how adorable you look!" The girl said, then pointed to the chair across from her. "Please sit down."

I hesitated, but sat. She gestured to the cookies in front of me and I graciously accepted as Mister Indigo poured me a cup of sweet-smelling tea. The delicious warmth of the goodies were so relaxing that I had forgotten for a second where I was. But I quickly snapped back into reality.

"Who are you? How do you know my name? What do you wanna discuss?"

"One question at a time, child." She said with a warm smile. It calmed me somewhat. "Do you know who I am?"

I tried to think, but she didn't look familiar at all. I shook my head.

"My name is Lavender."

Lavender.. The girl that my friends are against! I wasn't sure why they were against her, since they didn't really give me any details. But she was an enemy!

"What do you want from me?" I asked.

"Now now, no need to get scared. We aren't going to hurt you. I just want to talk." She said, leaning forward on the table. "What have your friends told you about what's going on?"

"What have they told me?" I echoed, thinking about it. "Just that you're a bad guy!" I hardened my gaze, trying to let her know that I didn't like her.

She giggled. I don't know why, but she did. "Did they tell you why or how?"

"N-..no..."

"Then how do you know? You can't believe anything that you don't figure out for yourself. How do you know they're not the ones in the wrong?"

"What?.."

She nodded. "See, they're gathering these gems; like the chaos emeralds, but bad emeralds. Lets talk about your friend Sonic.. You know how he can use the emeralds power? How he changes color and gets more powerful?"

I nodded. I had seen him like that before. I think she was referring to Super Sonic. He had been like that several times. Shadow could do that too.

"Well, I was wondering if you could help me. They're making a mistake by trying to gather all the gems. A big mistake. And if they're not stopped, then something terrible will happen."

I tilted my head. "..Something terrible? Like what?"

~Sonic~

It was closing in on me. I had to think fast. My eyes darted around, landing on a tall, broad tree in the distance. Acting fast, I ran up the trunk, heading for the top branch; but halfway up, it grasped me, entangling around my neck. I struggled; I gasped for air. No matter what I did, it was no use. I was completely helpless. Just the fact alone of being helpless scared me.
