Let's just say that my idea to make this day as amazing as possible, already had not started well. With my alarm waking me up, I toppled out of bed trying to turn it off and landed rather harshly on my butt. I have such grace I know.
I then practically crawled my way to the bathroom almost crying at the state of my hair. I quickly jumped into the shower and soaked my body trying to wake myself up from last night's adventures. After stepping out of the shower, I towel dried my hair then Blow dried the rest of it, leaving it in a presentable state.
Now believe me when I tell you that I never put such effort into my appearance for school, But I decided as it was the first day I better make the most of it. Once stepping out of my bathroom I went into my room and put on my regular attire. Imagine homeless cross chic. Converse, Jeans and a plain black tee.
After this I applied a little bit of mascara and brushed my hair leaving it in soft waves all down my back. I then headed downstairs to the kitchen finding Lauren eating cereal at the table and my mum making coffee.
"Ooh Yes please" I tease as she turns around.
"Are you excited for your first day at school Honey?" She replies taking a sip from her 'Best Mum' mug.
"Is that a serious question?" I joke.
"Well I'm excited thanks for asking" Lauren speaks up.
"Good thing no one cares about you." I reply teasingly.
"Oh no you didn't." She jumps up and tackles me to the ground.
"Stop trying Loser" I huff whilst we wrestle on the ground. "You never win. Just admit that I'm better than you"
"Common guys not this early in the morning" Mum calls from over the kitchen table.
"OW" Lauren screams as I pin her easily.
"Admit I'm better than you." I say to her face as she's defenceless.
"NEVER"
"Admit it" I say in a louder tone.
"Fine Fine your better than me! Now just let me go." She replies in defeat. HAH Lauren - 0, Finn - 101. I respond with a large smile and offer her a hand up.
"Nice doing business with you." I say gloatingly.
"Yeah yeah" she responds sitting back down to finish her coco pops.
"When will you kids ever stop doing that, you act like a bunch of boys." Mum says trying to hide her amusement.
Before I answer with some sarcastic remark my phone buzzes in my pocket.
Willow: I'm outside chicka.
"Well my rides here. See you tonight Family... plus Lauren" I joke. She responds with the finger causing mum to glare at her.
Lauren and I go to different schools, both in town. You might find that weird because we were so close, but she used to go to my school before she got bullied by a bunch of blonde prima donnas. After I may have *cough* accidentally *cough* punched the leader of their little bimbo group, they stopped, but Lauren still wanted to move, wanting a fresh start.
Do I feel bad about punching that Katy Perry wannabe? Kinda, but after she tortured Lauren for months doing much worse, it had to be done. She was only one year younger than me but I treat her like a baby, which she hates.
I grab my bag and head out the door seeing Bens' truck on the street with Willow in the passenger seat.
"Hey Will, We missed you last night" I say as I climb in the backseat giving my best friend the same nickname she has been stuck with since she moved here.
